The published starting prices are ₹79,999 for vivo’s 12GB+256GB configuration and ₹37,999 for OPPO’s 8GB+128GB configuration, so this is not a like-for-like memory and storage comparison. Which phone is better depends on whether you value the vivo’s listed chipset and dedicated rear telephoto camera or the OPPO’s lower launch price and 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

What the specification differences mean
Display and chipset: a higher listed tier for vivo
The vivo pairs a smaller 6.31-inch display with a higher listed resolution of 2640×1216; OPPO’s screen is larger at 6.57 inches and has a resolution of 1080×2372. Both manufacturers list 120Hz refresh rates. The vivo lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while OPPO lists a Dimensity 6360 MAX. Those are differences in published specifications, not benchmark results or evidence of how either phone performs in a particular app or game.
Cameras: rear telephoto versus wide-angle selfies
The vivo’s rear camera set includes a dedicated 50MP OIS telephoto camera alongside its 50MP OIS main camera and 8MP wide-angle camera. OPPO lists a 50MP main and 2MP portrait camera on the rear, while highlighting a 50MP front ultra-wide camera with a 100° field of view. That makes the stated camera priorities different: vivo offers a dedicated rear telephoto, and OPPO emphasizes a broad front-camera view that may suit group selfies. The specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos. OPPO’s “segment-best” description for the selfie camera is the company’s claim, not an independently established ranking.
Battery capacity: OPPO lists the larger cell
OPPO lists 7000mAh typical capacity (6830mAh rated), compared with vivo’s 6500mAh typical (6350mAh rated). This is a capacity comparison, not a battery-life result: endurance in use depends on the phone, settings, workload and conditions. Charging claims also use different manufacturer branding: vivo lists 90W FlashCharge and OPPO lists support for up to 80W SUPERVOOC.

Build ratings, weight and software
The published protection ratings are IP68/IP69 for vivo and IP69K/IP68/IP66 in OPPO’s launch materials. The labels are manufacturer claims; they should not be read as independent verification or as proof the phones have identical resistance in real conditions. Software descriptions are Android 16 with OriginOS 6 for vivo and Android-based ColorOS 16 for OPPO. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you choose?
Choose the vivo X300 FE if
- You are willing to pay substantially more at the published launch prices for its listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
- A dedicated rear telephoto camera is more useful to you than a rear portrait sensor.
- You prefer its smaller, higher-resolution display based on the published figures.
Choose the OPPO F33 Pro 5G if
- You want the lower published launch-price tier, while checking the exact variant because RAM and storage differ from vivo’s priced models.
- A larger stated typical battery capacity and an ultra-wide front camera are higher priorities for you.
- You prefer a larger 6.57-inch display and are comfortable with the specifications OPPO lists for this model.
Before ordering, compare the current checkout price for the exact variant and review software-support details from the manufacturer. Vivo also announced the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 at ₹15,999; verify current availability and compatibility with the X300 FE before considering it as an extra cost.
