What is the India price difference?
The available figures are snapshots, not a like-for-like live quote. vivo’s launch announcement on 6 May 2026 set the 12GB/256GB X300 FE at ₹79,999 and the 12GB/512GB model at ₹89,999. A later vivo announcement set the 8GB/256GB version at ₹84,999, with availability from 12 August 2026. Separately, the vivo India store snapshot showed the 12GB/256GB model at ₹89,999. Check the vivo India store for the current listing.
91mobiles listed the Lava Bold 2 5G with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at ₹12,999. That is a third-party retailer-price snapshot, not a guaranteed manufacturer price. A comparison using the vivo 12GB/256GB launch price of ₹79,999 and that Lava listing gives a ₹67,000 difference; it compares different RAM and storage tiers and a launch price with a third-party listing, so it should not be treated as a fixed current gap. Which phone has the better display and size?
The Lava Bold 2 has the larger screen: 6.67 inches versus 6.31 inches on the vivo. Both are listed at 120Hz, while the vivo’s specified resolution is higher at 2640 × 1216 compared with the Lava’s 1080 × 2400. Those figures describe resolution and refresh rate, not a hands-on assessment of brightness, colour or viewing quality.
The vivo is shorter and narrower, measuring 150.83 × 71.76mm; the Lava measures 163.2 × 76.05mm. The Lava is listed as thinner and lighter, at 7.55mm and 174g, compared with the vivo’s 7.99mm and 191g. Choose based on whether a more compact footprint or a larger screen matters more to you.
How do the cameras compare?
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera. The vivo adds a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS and an 8MP wide camera; it also lists a 50MP autofocus front camera. The Lava listing specifies a single 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

This is a difference in listed hardware, not proof that one phone takes better photos. The specifications do not establish comparative image quality, and no hands-on camera test is available here.
Battery, charging and protection
vivo lists a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery, 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging. The Lava figures reported by 91mobiles are 5000mAh and 33W charging. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in real use.

vivo lists IP68 and IP69 protection. The Lava’s IP64 rating is reported by 91mobiles rather than a surfaced Lava manufacturer specification page. Treat that detail as third-party reporting and confirm the manufacturer’s current documentation before relying on it for a durability decision. An IP rating is not a guarantee against damage in every situation.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Performance and software: what the specifications do and do not show
The X300 FE lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on a 3nm process, while 91mobiles lists a Dimensity 7060, 2.6GHz and 6nm for the Bold 2. These specifications place the phones in different listed tiers, but they do not provide a measured speed comparison. Actual performance depends on more than a processor name, and no comparative benchmark or hands-on test is established here.
The listed software versions are Android 16 with OriginOS 6 for vivo and Android 15 for Lava, with Lava’s version reported by 91mobiles. The available details do not establish a comparable update policy or support period. Check the software version and update commitments for the exact India model before purchase.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if you want a compact phone, a listed higher-tier chipset, telephoto hardware, a higher-resolution autofocus selfie camera, higher published battery capacity, wireless charging or the stated IP68/IP69 ratings—and its price fits your budget.
- Consider the Lava Bold 2 5G if a larger display and a much lower listed price matter more, and its 6GB/128GB configuration suits your needs.
Before deciding, compare the same day’s prices for the exact RAM and storage variants, then weigh screen size, camera hardware, charging, protection and verified software support. The published specifications alone cannot settle real-world speed, photo quality or battery life.
