vivo X200 Pro vs vivo X300 Ultra: Specs Comparison and Price Difference (2026)

The vivo X300 Ultra is the more camera-focused phone on the official specifications, with three 50 MP or 200 MP rear cameras covering 14 mm, 35 mm and 85 mm focal lengths, a newer listed chipset, a larger battery and faster wired charging than the X200 Pro. The X200 Pro is still a strong flagship with a 200 MP telephoto camera of its own. The price difference cannot be stated as a single figure. The only X300 Ultra prices established here are China recommended prices, and no current local price for the X200 Pro was established for this comparison.

Specifications side by side

The table below uses the official global listing for the X200 Pro and the official X300 Ultra listings from vivo’s global, China and India pages. Where a value comes from a single regional page, the cell says so, because regional versions of the same model can differ.

What actually changes in the camera system

The camera difference is the main reason to compare these two phones. The X200 Pro already has a 200 MP telephoto lens, so the change is not from no telephoto to telephoto. The change is in how the X300 Ultra divides its focal lengths.

Main and ultra-wide

The X300 Ultra’s listings name a 14 mm 50 MP ultra-wide camera and a 200 MP 35 mm camera. The 35 mm lens is the one a photographer would normally use for everyday framing, so the X300 Ultra puts high resolution on a standard focal length as well as on its telephoto. The X200 Pro listing gives 50 MP + 50 MP + 200 MP without naming the focal length of each lens, so a like-for-like focal-length comparison is not possible from the listing alone.

Telephoto and the extenders

Both phones offer a 200 MP telephoto camera. On the X300 Ultra, the telephoto is an 85 mm lens. The X300 Ultra also has optional ZEISS telephoto extenders that take its reach to 200 mm-equivalent and 400 mm-equivalent. vivo’s global page states that these accessories, and the Imaging Grip Kit that is compatible with the X300 Ultra, are purchased separately. Their presence in a box should not be assumed.

For a reader who shoots distant subjects, extenders extend the phone’s reach but add weight, cost and another item to carry. For a reader who only shoots handheld with the phone, the built-in lenses are the relevant comparison.

Platform and performance

The X300 Ultra lists the newer chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the X200 Pro lists the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. Both are 3 nm designs according to the listings. Official pages do not establish how the two chips compare in benchmarks or in sustained performance, so this article does not rank them. Chipset generation is a useful signal, but it is not a measured result.

Display

The X300 Ultra’s display is 6.82 inches, slightly larger than the X200 Pro’s 6.78 inches. The vivo China page lists the X300 Ultra at 3168 × 1440 with a 144 Hz refresh rate, while the X200 Pro global listing gives 2800 × 1260 with a 0.1–120 Hz range. The 144 Hz figure comes from the China page, so a reader buying a global unit should confirm the refresh rate on the local product page before assuming it.

Battery and charging

The X300 Ultra lists a 6600 mAh typical battery and 100 W wired charging. The X200 Pro lists 6000 mAh typical and 90 W wired charging. Both figures are typical capacities from manufacturer listings. Capacity does not determine how long a phone lasts, because screen settings, network conditions and software all affect runtime, and neither listing reports a battery-life test result.

The wireless figures differ in scope. The X200 Pro’s 30 W wireless charging applies in the named markets on its listing, while the X300 Ultra’s 40 W figure comes from the global page.

Software and regional versions

The X200 Pro’s global listing names Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. The X300 Ultra’s India listing names Android 16 with OriginOS 6. These are regional listings. They do not establish that the two phones receive the same software in every market, or how long either will receive updates. Check the update policy in your country before buying.

The price difference

vivo China lists recommended prices for the X300 Ultra in 2026, with March 2026 as the release month. These are the only X300 Ultra prices established in this comparison.

Configuration (China recommended price) Price (CNY) Note
12 GB + 256 GB 6,999 Lowest listed price for the phone
12 GB + 512 GB 7,499 Phone only
16 GB + 512 GB 7,999 Phone only
16 GB + 1 TB satellite-communication edition 8,999 Edition with satellite communication
16 GB + 1 TB photographer kit 11,999 Bundle, not a handset-only price

Why the photographer kit price is not a comparison price

The CNY 11,999 photographer kit is a bundle with accessories listed separately. Comparing it with the X200 Pro’s price would overstate the gap. The lowest phone-only X300 Ultra configuration in the China list is CNY 6,999.

What is not established

No current local price for the X200 Pro was established in this comparison, so a price gap between the two phones cannot be calculated in any currency. These China prices are recommended prices on vivo’s own listing, not street prices, and they do not show discounts, trade-in offers or prices in other countries. To calculate a real gap, compare the phone-only price for the same storage configuration in your own market on the same date.

Global availability

On March 2, 2026, at MWC Barcelona, vivo announced plans to launch the X300 Ultra in global markets later that year. In its announcement, vivo said: “For the first time, vivo confirmed plans to launch this most advanced X-series model in global markets later this year, further strengthening its influence in both the professional imaging sector and the premium smartphone market.” That statement describes vivo’s intention. It does not confirm availability or pricing in any particular country, so check your local vivo store or authorised retailer before assuming the phone is on sale.

Which phone fits which buyer

  • Choose the X300 Ultra if you want an 85 mm telephoto camera with a 200 MP sensor, a 35 mm 200 MP main-style lens, the option to extend the telephoto reach with ZEISS accessories, and the newer chipset and faster wired charging listed for it.
  • Choose the X200 Pro if you mainly shoot with the phone’s built-in cameras, already have a 200 MP telephoto you are happy with, and find a lower local price more important than the X300 Ultra’s additional focal lengths and accessories.
  • Verify before deciding the phone-only price for your storage configuration, the software version and update policy for your region, and whether the X300 Ultra is sold in your country at all.

If the camera accessories are not part of your plans, the X300 Ultra’s extra specifications may not justify a larger price gap, and the X200 Pro remains a credible choice.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
