Short answer: choose between specific local models, not the letter on the box. A phone such as the vivo X300 is the more compelling starting point if you want its 200 MP main camera, dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, 50 MP selfie camera, and Dimensity 9500 processor. A phone such as the vivo V60 may fit better if its 6500 mAh battery, 90W charging, and particular camera package matter more to you. Those are model-level differences, not a universal rule that every X phone beats every V phone.

Before paying, compare the exact storage, RAM, price, network bands, warranty, software support, and camera features offered in your country. vivo’s global catalog contains several generations, while local catalogs can carry a different mix of X and V models.

What the X Series and V Series actually are

vivo presents X Series and V Series as separate phone families in its global product catalog. The catalog is not a promise that every listed model is sold in every country, and a family name does not by itself establish a fixed price, processor class, camera quality, or update policy.

That matters because “X versus V” is not one phone against another. It is a request to compare generations and regional variants. An X300 bought in one market can have different memory, connectivity, or bundled accessories from an X300 sold elsewhere. The same qualification applies to the V60 and to every other V-series model.

A useful way to think about the names is as a starting filter:

  • Start with an X model when a candidate such as the X300 offers the imaging hardware and high-tier processor you specifically want.
  • Start with a V model when a candidate such as the V60 delivers the battery, charging, cameras, and price that suit your daily use better.
  • Ignore the family label when the local configuration, warranty, bands, or software terms make the other model the safer purchase.

The official pages reviewed for this comparison were checked on October 13, 2026. They list specifications but do not state a publication year, so the figures below should be read as manufacturer-listed specifications rather than dated laboratory results.

X300 and V60: the concrete comparison

The X300 and V60 illustrate why a model-to-model comparison is more useful than a blanket “premium versus budget” assumption. The numbers below come from vivo’s global specification pages: X300 specifications and V60 specifications.

Specification vivo X300 vivo V60 What it means
Main rear camera 200 MP 50 MP with OIS Resolution and optical stabilization are different characteristics; neither number alone predicts every photo result.
Telephoto camera 50 MP 50 MP Both list a dedicated telephoto camera, but focal length, sensor, stabilization, and software still need local confirmation.
Ultra-wide camera 50 MP 8 MP The X300 lists a higher-resolution ultra-wide camera on the global page.
Front camera 50 MP Not stated on the cited global V60 specification page Check the local V60 listing if selfie-camera resolution is important.
Processor MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 These are different platforms; benchmark rankings and sustained performance were not established by the cited pages.
Typical battery capacity 6040 mAh 6500 mAh The V60 lists 460 mAh more typical capacity. Actual endurance depends on display, signal, software, and usage.
Wired charging Up to 90W FlashCharge 90W Both list 90W-class charging; charger inclusion and regional limitations must be checked locally.
Display, dimensions, storage and RAM Not stated in the cited comparison Not stated in the cited comparison Use the exact local product page before deciding; these can change the practical value substantially.

The X300 Europe page positions the phone around ZEISS imaging, Dimensity 9500 performance, and 90W FlashCharge. Its phrase “Master Every Shot with ZEISS” is vivo’s own product-page marketing, not an independent camera assessment; see vivo’s Europe X300 page.

Camera choice: hardware is the first filter, not the final verdict

Why the X300 appeals to imaging-focused buyers

The X300’s listed rear system combines a 200 MP main camera with 50 MP telephoto and 50 MP ultra-wide cameras, plus a 50 MP front camera. That gives the specification sheet a balanced high-resolution treatment across the main, zoom, and wide fields of view. If you regularly photograph distant subjects, landscapes, architecture, or group scenes, having dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide cameras is more useful than relying on a single main sensor and digital crops.

The 200 MP figure does not mean every image is captured or saved at 200 MP, nor does it prove better low-light output. Lens quality, sensor size, stabilization, processing, focus behavior, and the camera app’s available modes determine how the hardware behaves. Treat the number as evidence of the listed sensor resolution, not as a guaranteed ranking against another phone.

What the V60 gives you

The V60 global specification lists a 50 MP OIS main camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera, and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. Optical image stabilization on the main camera can help reduce blur from hand movement in still photos and video, but the cited page does not quantify its effect or compare it with the X300’s system. The 50 MP telephoto means the V60 is not limited to main-camera digital zoom.

The 8 MP ultra-wide camera is a lower listed resolution than the X300’s 50 MP ultra-wide. That difference may matter if you crop wide-angle photos or print them, while it may matter less if your wide shots are mostly shared at phone or social-media sizes. The V60 page cited here does not state the front-camera resolution, so verify that specification in your market.

Questions to ask before choosing on cameras

  • Does the local model retain the same telephoto and ultra-wide cameras as the global listing?
  • What focal lengths and stabilization are specified, rather than just megapixels?
  • Are RAW capture, portrait, night, high-resolution, and video modes available in your regional software?
  • Are the camera features you need supported at the resolution and frame rate you use?
  • Can you return the phone if the camera processing does not suit your subjects?

Neither official page supplies an independent side-by-side image test. A purchase decision should therefore use the listed hardware as a filter and local samples or a reliable return policy as the final check.

Performance and workload fit

X300: a specification-led performance choice

The X300 lists MediaTek Dimensity 9500, while vivo’s global V60 page lists Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The X300’s processor is the more obvious candidate if your priorities include demanding games, intensive photo processing, local video work, or keeping a phone for several years, but the cited material does not provide benchmark scores, sustained-load temperatures, frame rates, or a universal performance ranking.

Performance also depends on RAM, storage type, cooling, display resolution, game optimization, and the regional software build. Confirm the exact memory configuration instead of assuming that every X300 has the same capacity.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

V60: enough depends on what you do

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 configuration can be a sensible fit for communication, browsing, streaming, navigation, photography, and ordinary multitasking if its local price and memory configuration are right. That is a workload description, not a laboratory claim about speed. Heavy gaming buyers should check independent tests for the exact regional model and examine sustained performance rather than a short benchmark peak.

For either family, list your real workloads before paying: the games you play, the video resolution you edit, the number of apps you keep open, and whether you use desktop-style productivity tools. A cheaper phone that handles those tasks reliably is a better choice than a nominally faster model whose storage, warranty, or battery behavior does not suit you.

Battery and charging: the V60 has the larger listed capacity

vivo lists a 6040 mAh typical battery for the X300 and a 6500 mAh typical battery for the V60. On the listed figures, the V60 has 460 mAh more typical capacity. “Typical” is the manufacturer’s stated capacity convention; it is not a guarantee of screen-on time.

Battery life varies with brightness, refresh rate, mobile-signal strength, camera use, gaming, background synchronization, temperature, and battery condition. A larger cell can be valuable for travel or long workdays, but a phone with more efficient hardware or a smaller, lower-power display can still last longer in a particular test.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Both examples support 90W-class wired charging: the X300 page says up to 90W FlashCharge, and the V60 page says 90W charging. Confirm whether the charger is included, whether the full rate requires the supplied charger and cable, and whether your region limits charging power. Charging speed also tapers as the battery fills; a 90W label does not mean the phone draws 90W for the entire session.

Price, availability and regional differences

The cited official pages do not establish a universal X-series price tier, a universal V-series price tier, or a global performance ranking. Do not assume that every X model is the premium option or every V model is the budget option without dated, market-specific evidence.

Local catalogs demonstrate how quickly the comparison can change. For example, vivo Mexico’s catalog lists X300 and X300 Pro alongside V50, V60 Lite variants, V70 FE, and V70: Mexico product catalog. That lineup is an illustration of regional availability, not a list that applies to every country.

Before comparing prices, normalize the offer:

  • Match RAM and storage capacities.
  • Check whether the seller is offering the same regional model number.
  • Confirm supported 4G and 5G bands for your carrier.
  • Include the charger, case, taxes, delivery, and any warranty difference.
  • Check current stock and the seller’s return terms; availability can change after a catalog page is published.

If a local page omits a specification, treat it as unknown rather than importing a figure from another country. Regional differences can affect cameras, NFC, eSIM, bands, software features, charging accessories, and memory options.

Which lineup fits common buyer priorities?

Choose an X model such as the X300 when

  • You want the X300’s listed 200 MP main camera and 50 MP ultra-wide, not merely a higher family name.
  • You value a 50 MP front camera as specified on the global X300 page.
  • Your workloads justify investigating the Dimensity 9500 configuration.
  • You are willing to verify local storage, RAM, software, network bands, and warranty before purchase.

Choose a V model such as the V60 when

  • The 6500 mAh typical battery is more useful to you than the X300’s imaging specification.
  • You want 90W charging and the V60’s listed 50 MP OIS main, 50 MP telephoto, and 8 MP ultra-wide cameras.
  • The V60 is locally available with a better price, storage package, or service coverage.
  • Your daily tasks do not require the highest processor tier available in your comparison.

Do not choose by family when

  • The model you found is an import with uncertain bands or warranty.
  • The local configuration removes a camera, changes storage, or bundles a different charger.
  • You need a documented software-update commitment that the seller or vivo page has not stated.
  • The price gap is small enough that the other model’s battery, camera, or support advantages outweigh the label.

A practical buying procedure

  1. Write your non-negotiables. Record minimum battery capacity, charging speed, camera types, storage, network bands, and budget before looking at family names.
  2. Open the local vivo catalog. Use the global catalog as a discovery tool, then switch to your country’s official page. Confirm that the exact model is sold there.
  3. Capture the full configuration. Note RAM, storage, processor, camera resolutions, charging support, display details, dimensions, SIM/eSIM behavior, and included accessories.
  4. Compare like for like. A high-storage X300 versus a low-storage V60 is not a fair price comparison. Align capacities and account for any bundled charger or promotion.
  5. Verify connectivity and support. Check carrier bands, VoLTE or VoNR requirements, local warranty length, authorized service access, and the seller’s return window.
  6. Check software terms. Look for a locally stated Android version, security-support commitment, and update schedule. If none is stated, mark it as unknown rather than guessing.
  7. Validate the camera decision. Use samples from the exact regional model or buy from a seller with a practical return policy. Hardware tables cannot reveal every processing preference.
  8. Recheck the final listing. Prices, stock, configurations, and availability can change. Make sure the invoice identifies the same model and regional variant you compared.

Pitfalls that produce bad X-versus-V advice

“X is always premium and V is always budget”

The official catalogs show multiple generations and variants, but the cited pages do not support a timeless hierarchy. A newer V model can be a better purchase than an older X model for a buyer who values battery, price, or local support.

“More megapixels guarantees better photos”

Resolution is only one camera attribute. Sensor area, lenses, stabilization, autofocus, processing, and shooting modes can change the result. Compare the complete camera system and your own subjects.

“The biggest battery always lasts longest”

Capacity is not endurance. Network conditions, screen settings, processor efficiency, and usage pattern can reverse a paper advantage.

“90W means identical charging everywhere”

The X300 says up to 90W FlashCharge and the V60 lists 90W, but charger availability and regional limits still need confirmation. Accessory and voltage differences can affect the experience.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

“A global specification automatically applies locally”

vivo explicitly notes that specifications and functionality can vary by region on the X300 information. Apply that caution to the V60 and other models: local pages and model numbers take precedence.

Bottom line for the X300-versus-V60 decision

There is no honest one-line winner for the entire X and V families. On the specific official specifications available here, the X300 is the stronger starting point for a buyer focused on its 200 MP main camera, 50 MP telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, 50 MP front camera, and Dimensity 9500 platform. The V60 is the stronger starting point for a buyer who values its 6500 mAh typical battery, 90W charging, and balanced 50 MP main/telephoto camera setup with a locally attractive price.

Make the final choice only after checking the two exact local listings side by side. Price, storage, RAM, display, bands, software support, warranty, service access, and regional camera or charging differences can matter more than the X or V badge.
