Battery and charging: capacity versus wireless speed
vivo has the larger energy reserve
vivo lists an “Equivalent 6900 mAh BlueVolt Battery.” That is 900 mAh more than the Xiaomi 18 Fold’s stated 6000 mAh capacity, giving the vivo a clear paper advantage for long work sessions, travel days and heavy use of the inner screen. Capacity alone does not establish longer runtime: screen brightness, cellular signal, processor tuning and software loads can change endurance, and no standardized comparison is provided.

Xiaomi reverses the wireless-charging advantage
The X Fold6 supports 80 W wired FlashCharge and 40 W wireless charging. Xiaomi lists slower 67 W wired charging but faster 50 W wireless charging. Choose vivo if you normally top up from a cable or want the larger battery; choose Xiaomi if your desk, car or bedside setup relies on compatible wireless charging.
Camera hardware: different interpretations of a 200 MP flagship
vivo’s ZEISS system
The X Fold6 combines a 200 MP ZEISS main camera with a 50 MP ZEISS APO 3x periscope and a 50 MP ZEISS ultrawide. vivo also names the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, an optional accessory intended to extend telephoto reach. The hardware and ZEISS tuning make it the more compelling option for buyers who want a dedicated portrait and distant-subject setup, although image-quality superiority has not been established by a controlled comparison.

Xiaomi’s Leica triple camera
The Xiaomi 18 Fold uses a Leica-developed triple-camera system: a 200 MP Samsung HP5 main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP 3.5x periscope. Its longer native optical perspective can frame distant subjects more tightly than vivo’s 3x camera. Xiaomi also specifies 8K video at 24 fps and 4K at 60 fps, useful advantages for creators who need those recording modes. Leica and ZEISS branding describe collaboration and tuning; they are not a substitute for independent testing.
Which phone feels better in one hand?
Xiaomi favors a lighter passport format
At 219 g, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is lighter than the vivo China variants, which weigh 228–235 g depending on color. Xiaomi is described as shorter and wider with a passport-like shape. Its 5.38-inch outer AMOLED and 7.58-inch inner flexible AMOLED both support up to 120 Hz. That geometry can make the cover display easier to use for typing and quick tasks while keeping a broad inner workspace.

vivo emphasizes thinness when open
China specifications give the X Fold6 an unfolded thickness of 4.4–4.8 mm, a range that varies by configuration or color, and a height of 157.16 mm with an unfolded width of 145.66 mm. The Xiaomi is reported at 5.02 mm unfolded. The measurements are from different source descriptions and should not be treated as a laboratory side-by-side; the practical difference will also depend on hinge design, cover-screen proportions and case thickness.

Xiaomi’s published display figures are a 5.38-inch outer panel and 7.58-inch inner panel, each with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. The cited vivo European material confirms a foldable flagship display system but does not provide matching diagonal measurements in the supplied specifications, so a direct screen-size winner cannot be established from those figures alone.

Independent reporting describes up to four apps running simultaneously, which suits workflows such as a browser, notes, messaging and a calculator or file panel on the inner display. Xiaomi reporting describes up to three simultaneous apps. App support, window resizing and regional software builds can affect how useful those limits are in practice.
Durability, processors and storage
vivo has explicit water-resistance ratings
vivo Europe advertises IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance for the X Fold6. Those ratings concern water exposure under defined test conditions and do not make a folding phone immune to drops, dust, corrosion or liquid damage outside warranty terms. Xiaomi’s cited 18 Fold report does not state an IP rating, so buyers should not assume an equivalent certification.

Different silicon and memory configurations
The X Fold6 uses the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition on a 3 nm process. Xiaomi introduces its XRING O3 processor, with LPDDR5X memory on 256 GB and 512 GB versions, LPDDR6 on the 16 GB/1 TB model and UFS 4.1 storage. There is no shared benchmark in the available information, so processor branding alone cannot establish which phone is faster or more efficient.
