Vivo has launched the X Fold 6 in India at a reported price of Rs 2,19,999. The book-style foldable pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 “Super Edition” with a 200MP main camera, a 6,900 mAh battery and 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage. Sales are reported to begin on 13 October 2026.

Launch coverage from 91mobiles and Digit reports one India configuration: 12GB RAM and 512GB storage for Rs 2,19,999. The phone is listed in Nebula Teal and Prism Black, with sales scheduled to start on 13 October 2026. Vivo’s own product page and specific retail channels or launch offers were not confirmed in that coverage, so check with Vivo or an authorised seller for purchase details.

Some pre-launch reports had speculated on a lower price of Rs 1,64,999 to Rs 1,74,999. That was speculation, not the reported launch price. At Rs 2,19,999, the X Fold 6 is positioned well above its predecessor, the X Fold 5.

What the Dimensity 9500 “Super Edition” means
India launch reports identify the processor as MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 “Super Edition.” The special-edition wording indicates a variant described as higher-clocked, but verified clock speeds were not available in the launch coverage. The listed India configuration combines it with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

Coverage describes the software as Android 17-based OriginOS 7, but that detail appeared in only one aggregator. Treat it as provisional until Vivo confirms the software version and its update policy for the India model.

The X Fold 6 has an 8.02-inch inner AMOLED display and a 6.51-inch outer AMOLED display. Both are reported to support a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The phone is also reported to carry IP58 and IP59 ratings.

The India version has a 6,900 mAh battery, with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. Vivo says this is the largest battery in a foldable. That claim is Vivo’s; it should not be confused with the China model, which has a 7,000 mAh battery.
India model versus China model
The X Fold 6 was announced in China in June 2026 and released there on 1 July. Its regional specifications differ from India’s, so figures and configurations should not be treated as interchangeable.

The India launch event, vivo NEXT 2026, took place on 6 October 2026, and India sales are reported to begin on 13 October. Reports had suggested a broader global debut around three months after the China release, but that timing has not been confirmed. Availability in the US is also not established.
