TechRadar contributor Luke Baker says he prefers the Vivo X Fold 6’s photos to those from his own iPhone 18 Pro in most situations. He has not tested the iPhone Duo, however, so the camera claim is not a direct Vivo-versus-Duo comparison. The weight comparison is separate: Baker’s October 1, 2026 review reports the Vivo at 235 g and the Duo at 254 g, making the Vivo 19 g lighter by those figures.
What the camera comparison does—and does not—show
Baker describes the X Fold 6 as a camera-forward foldable and says he generally prefers its results to photos from his iPhone 18 Pro. He also writes: “I’ve tested almost every foldable phone in 2026, and so far, I reckon Vivo’s photos and videos are probably the best.” That is one reviewer’s judgment, not a controlled comparison or a universal verdict.

Crucially, Baker says in the same discussion that he has not tried the iPhone Duo. The headline’s photo comparison is between the Vivo and his iPhone 18 Pro; it does not establish that the Vivo takes better photos than the Duo.
Camera hardware cited in the review
The review reports a 200 MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a telephoto camera. It also points to Vivo’s Zeiss collaboration, T* lens coatings, and co-developed picture styles as part of the camera package. These are specifications and features as reported by TechRadar, not independently verified here.

How much lighter is it than the iPhone Duo?
TechRadar reports a weight of 235 g for the X Fold 6 and 254 g for the iPhone Duo. That is a 19 g difference in the review’s comparison. It is a modest paper advantage, and it should not be confused with a hands-on comparison: Baker says he has not tested the Duo.
What the foldable adds beyond cameras
Cover screen and multitasking
The X Fold 6 uses a book-style design: its cover display is intended for phone-like use, while unfolding reveals a larger, tablet-like screen. Baker says the inner display can show up to four resizable apps in split view, with a fifth app in a floating window.

Battery and charging
TechRadar lists a 6,900 mAh battery, up to 80 W wired charging, and up to 40 W wireless charging. Baker reports around two days per charge despite heavy use of the large display and frequent photography. That is his experience, not a standardized battery-life test or a promise of what every owner will achieve.

- Unfolding delay: Baker reports a blank-screen pause after opening the phone before the interface appears.
- Background apps: He says the phone may close background apps to save battery unless settings are adjusted.
- Crease: He describes the inner-screen crease as minimal but still visible.
Availability and support may be the deciding factors
The October 1, 2026 review says the X Fold 6 will not launch in the UK or US and is intended for select European markets. Baker, writing from the UK, says he would need to import it from elsewhere in Europe or buy a Chinese model. Availability can change, and the review’s market information was not independently confirmed against Vivo or retailers.
For a buyer importing the phone, the practical concern is not just where to find it. Baker warns that importing means no local contract deal and could leave the buyer handling a fault without local support. Before ordering, confirm the seller’s region, warranty terms, repair route, and network compatibility; the review does not establish those details for any particular seller or model.

The review makes the strongest case for someone who wants a large-screen foldable with versatile cameras and substantial multitasking, and who is willing to accept software rough edges and potentially difficult regional support. Its evidence for camera quality is Baker’s favorable personal assessment against his iPhone 18 Pro—not a direct test against the iPhone Duo. The reported weight advantage over the Duo is 19 g, while the availability issue may outweigh that difference for buyers who need straightforward local service.
