The vivo V70 is the pricier phone with 90 W charging and a ZEISS-branded camera system. The vivo T5 5G is the cheaper one, with a bigger 6.83-inch curved AMOLED screen that goes up to 144 Hz and a larger battery. This comparison uses vivo India’s official pages for the specs. Prices come from third-party listings, and those listings disagree, so treat the price gap as a range and not as a fixed number. It is a specification comparison, not a hands-on test.

These figures come from vivo’s V70 parameter page and its T5 5G India page, both reviewed on 5 October 2026. They apply to India variants only.

Which has the better display?
The T5 5G has the bigger and faster screen: 6.83 inches, curved, up to 144 Hz. The V70 is more compact at 6.59 inches, with a listed 2750 × 1260 resolution and up to 120 Hz. Higher refresh rates only apply in supported content and settings, so 144 Hz won’t show up in every app or game. If you want a bigger canvas for video and games, the T5 5G fits. If you prefer a phone that is easier to hold, the V70’s smaller panel is the better fit.

Which has the better camera?
On paper they have different strengths, and the specs alone don’t name a winner. The V70 is sold on a ZEISS camera system with a 50 MP main camera and a telephoto camera. That matters if you want optical zoom for portraits or distant subjects. The T5 5G lists a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 32 MP front camera. Both advertise 4K recording at 30 fps on the front and rear cameras. Megapixel counts don’t predict image quality. Processing, lenses and sensor tuning decide that, and no independent camera comparison of these two phones was available.
Battery and charging: capacity versus speed
The T5 5G has the larger battery at 7,050 mAh typical. vivo’s own note reads: “7050 mAh is the typical battery capacity. The rated battery capacity is 6850 mAh.” The V70 lists 6,500 mAh. In charging, the V70 is much faster at 90 W against the T5 5G’s up to 44 W. vivo says actual charging power varies with conditions. A bigger battery suggests longer runtime, but screen size, refresh rate and the chipset also affect endurance, so the T5’s lead isn’t guaranteed in daily use.

Performance: what is and isn’t proven
The V70 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The T5 5G uses a Dimensity 7500 Turbo. These are both midrange chips, and no independent head-to-head benchmark was available. vivo’s own claims for the T5 5G are laboratory results, not independent ones:

These compare the T5 5G with older vivo hardware, not with the V70.

Neither is an official vivo price or a confirmed like-for-like offer. Variants and retailers differ, and sale prices change. The 91mobiles listing is the 91mobiles comparison page, and the other is Smartprix. Check RAM, storage, seller and bank offers on the live listing before you decide. In practice the V70 costs roughly ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 more, going by these two snapshots.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose the V70 if you want a more compact screen, 90 W charging and the telephoto and ZEISS-tuned camera setup, and the live price fits your budget.
- Choose the T5 5G if you prefer a larger, curved, 144 Hz display and the bigger battery, and its real price is clearly lower. At a gap of ₹15,000 or more, that saving is the main argument for it.
These are cues from specifications. Camera quality and battery life in real use haven’t been tested here. Also check the software update policy on vivo’s regional page for the T5 5G before buying.
