V70 has the higher listed resolution
The V70’s 2750 × 1260 panel has more pixels than the realme 16 5G’s 2372 × 1080 panel. Their stated screen sizes are close, and both manufacturers list refresh rates of up to 120Hz. Resolution alone does not establish which screen looks better overall: brightness figures, calibration, viewing conditions and other factors matter, and the listed brightness measurements are not necessarily comparable.
The chipsets are different, but a speed winner is unproven
vivo specifies the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while realme specifies the Dimensity 6400 Turbo. The chipset names and manufacturing processes are useful distinctions, but they are not a measured head-to-head performance result. No independent comparative benchmark is established here, so don’t treat the specifications as proof of a particular gaming, app-loading or battery-performance gap.

Which phone has the better cameras?
Both phones list 50MP front cameras and a 50MP main or wide rear camera, but megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality. vivo specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) for its 50MP ZEISS main camera and promotes a separate 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera on its product page. realme lists a 50MP wide camera plus a 2MP monochrome rear camera. The rear camera arrangements serve different roles; these specifications do not substitute for comparable photo and video tests.
The manufacturers also describe the front cameras differently: vivo specifies a ZEISS group selfie camera with autofocus, while realme lists a 50MP front camera. The shared resolution does not mean the cameras produce equivalent results.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers mean
vivo lists a 6500mAh typical battery and 90W charging. realme lists a 7000mAh typical capacity, a 6830mAh rated capacity and 60W charging. Typical and rated figures are not interchangeable, and neither capacity nor charging wattage by itself proves real-world endurance or a specific time to full charge.
realme says its internal lab tests found the battery retained at least 80% of capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles. That is a manufacturer-reported internal test, not an independent comparison with the V70. Actual battery life and charging time depend on use and conditions.

What is the price difference in India?
There is no stable price difference to quote without checking live listings. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot showed ₹54,999 for the V70 and ₹36,999 for the realme 16 on Amazon, but the same comparison page contained different V70 prices in other captured snapshots. These are volatile third-party figures, not current price guarantees; the page also labels the comparison as realme 16 rather than the official product name realme 16 5G.
vivo’s February 26, 2026 launch announcement said the V70 series would be available through vivo’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon and partner retail stores, with a series starting price of INR 45,999. For a useful price comparison, match RAM and storage first. The V70 is listed with 256GB storage, while the realme 16 5G also has a 128GB option, so comparing the cheapest listing for each may not be like-for-like. Check exact model, configuration, seller, stock and discounts at the time you buy.

Consider the vivo V70 if
- You prioritize the higher listed display resolution.
- You prefer the listed Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while recognizing that the specs alone do not establish a real-world performance advantage.
- You value a higher rated charging wattage and the listed OIS main camera plus the telephoto camera described on vivo’s product page.
Consider the realme 16 5G if
- You prioritize the larger stated typical battery capacity, without assuming it guarantees longer runtime.
- You want a listed 128GB storage tier or storage-card support.
- You prefer the lighter listed weight or find a lower live price for the configuration you need.
These are specification-based trade-offs, not a hands-on verdict. Before buying, verify current prices and stock, the exact storage tier, software-update commitments, independent camera and battery results, and 5G band compatibility with your carrier. The India pages list overlapping but not identical band sets; matching bands alone does not guarantee local service or coverage.
