For buyers in India, the vivo V70 Elite is the stronger pick on listed processor, screen size and charging speed; the OPPO Reno16 5G has the higher-resolution ultrawide camera and a larger stated battery. Which phone is faster?
The V70 Elite has the more capable listed hardware for performance: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM, compared with the Reno16’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. The V70 Elite also offers a 12GB+512GB configuration, while OPPO lists storage up to 256GB.
As a secondary point of reference, 91mobiles reported AnTuTu scores of 1,815,619 for the V70 Elite and 1,457,989 for Reno16 5G in its 2026 comparison. Which screen is larger and sharper?
Vivo lists a 6.59-inch, 2750×1260 AMOLED screen for the V70 Elite. OPPO lists a 16.05cm (about 6.32-inch), 2640×1216 AMOLED screen for the Reno16, also with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the published measurements, the vivo gives you the larger, higher-resolution display; the smaller OPPO panel may suit someone who prefers a more compact handset. That is a size-based comparison, not a claim about one-handed comfort.
How do the cameras differ?
Ultrawide camera
The clearest listed hardware difference is the ultrawide: OPPO specifies 50MP, while vivo lists 8MP. That gives the Reno16 the higher-resolution ultrawide specification, but megapixels alone do not establish which phone produces better photos.

Both phones list 50MP main and 50MP telephoto cameras with optical stabilization. Vivo identifies its main and telephoto cameras as ZEISS-branded and specifies autofocus on the telephoto. OPPO lists two-axis OIS for its wide and telephoto cameras. 91mobiles describes the Reno16 telephoto as 3.5x; that zoom detail comes from the comparison outlet, not the official specification table.

Selfies and overall image quality
Both manufacturers list a 50MP autofocus front camera, with vivo identifying its front camera as ZEISS. The available hardware specifications do not establish a categorical photo-quality winner. Sensor processing, lens performance and shooting conditions matter, so choose based on the camera types you use most rather than rear-camera megapixel totals alone.

Battery life or faster charging?
OPPO lists a 6700mAh battery, 200mAh more than vivo’s listed 6500mAh typical capacity. Vivo, in turn, lists 90W charging versus OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOC. Capacity and charging rate are manufacturer specifications and do not, by themselves, predict real-world endurance or the time a full charge will take.
91mobiles reported PCMark battery-test results of 23.8 hours for Reno16 and 18.3 hours for V70 Elite, with the test measuring from 100% down to 20%. Software updates, water resistance and ownership
The manufacturer pages list Android 16 with OriginOS 6 for vivo and ColorOS 16.0 for OPPO. The secondary comparison refers to ColorOS 16.1, while OPPO’s India specification page says ColorOS 16.0; the official India listing is the more appropriate version reference here. 91mobiles reports that OPPO promises five OS upgrades and six years of security patches, but that commitment is not stated on the official pages cited above. The sources reviewed do not establish an equivalent verified update-policy comparison for vivo.

India prices and the actual difference
There is no reliable like-for-like price difference to calculate from the available store figures because they are not synchronized checkout prices. OPPO states that its India prices were correct as of 31 August 2026 and subject to change; vivo’s retrieved store listings show different configurations and one selected variant was out of stock at retrieval.
