On the India-market figures available on 7 October 2026, the 8GB+128GB V80 launch price is ₹21,000 above the V60’s listed price—but those figures are not a like-for-like live deal: the V60 listing was unavailable, and V80 sales were announced to begin on 13 October.

vivo’s store showed ₹41,999, inclusive of taxes, for the selected V60 8GB+128GB listing when accessed; that listing was marked unavailable. vivo announced these V80 launch prices, also inclusive of taxes:

The entry-configuration difference is ₹21,000, comparing the V60 store listing with the V80’s announced 8GB+128GB launch price. It is not a guaranteed current price gap: stock, offers and transaction prices can change. Check current listings before buying. Which display suits you better?
The V60 has the larger panel at 6.77 inches, while the V80’s screen measures 6.59 inches. If you prioritize screen area for reading or viewing, the V60 has the size advantage on paper.
The V80 counters with a higher listed resolution—2750 × 1260 versus 2392 × 1080—and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz rather than 120Hz. That makes it the stronger specification choice for detail and supported high-refresh-rate apps, but vivo says 144Hz works only in selected applications. These figures do not establish how the displays compare in brightness, color accuracy or everyday visibility.

Performance, software and storage
Same listed processor
Both India parameter pages specify the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, built on a 4nm process. The published processor name therefore does not indicate a chip upgrade in the V80. The available specifications do not establish a head-to-head speed or gaming advantage.

The V60 is listed with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15; the V80 with Android 17 and OriginOS 7. That is a newer listed software generation on the V80, but it does not by itself establish how long either phone will receive updates. Check vivo’s current update policy for the exact model before purchase if support duration matters to you.

Choose configuration as well as storage type
The V60 offers more RAM combinations, including 12GB and 16GB options, while the listed V80 configurations all have 8GB RAM. Conversely, the V80 specifies UFS 3.1 storage versus UFS 2.2 on the V60. These are configuration and storage-type differences, not proof of a particular real-world speed gain. Compare the price of the exact RAM and storage tier you intend to buy.
Battery and charging: capacity is not a runtime test
vivo lists typical capacities of 6,500mAh for the V60 and 7,200mAh for the V80, with 90W charging for both. The V80 therefore has 700mAh more stated capacity, but capacity alone cannot establish which lasts longer in actual use. Screen settings, apps, network conditions and other factors affect endurance; no independent head-to-head battery test is established here.

Camera hardware and video features
The headline rear-camera categories are similar: both phones list 50MP optical image-stabilized main and telephoto cameras plus an 8MP wide or ultra-wide camera. vivo’s V80 announcement promotes 3× optical telephoto and 4K recording at 60 frames per second, along with cinematic styles. Those are manufacturer-published features, not independent evidence that the V80 takes better photos or video than the V60.

vivo announced V80 availability beginning 13 October 2026 through partner retail stores, its website, Flipkart and Amazon. That date was still in the future on 7 October 2026, so check current stock and listings rather than assuming it is already available.

The launch announcement also described bank discounts, exchange bonuses, EMI options, warranty protection and Google One offers subject to their terms. It named a V-Shield screen-damage and extended-warranty plan starting at ₹1,134, and described a JioHotstar subscription discount that was not live at announcement time. Treat these as announcement-time offer details, not guaranteed current savings or eligibility; read the live terms before relying on them.
Both models carry vivo-listed IP68 and IP69 ratings. These are laboratory ratings, not a promise that resistance lasts permanently or that liquid damage will be covered by warranty. Check the manufacturer’s current warranty language.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the V60 if you want the larger 6.77-inch display, need a listed 12GB or 16GB RAM option, or can find it at a substantially lower current price.
- Consider the V80 if you value its higher-resolution, up-to-144Hz display, larger stated battery, UFS 3.1 storage and newer listed Android version, and its live price fits your budget.
- Do not pay more solely for a supposed processor upgrade: both list Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The available specifications also do not prove better camera quality or longer real-world battery life for either phone.
Because the V60 price cited here was attached to an unavailable store listing and the V80 price was announced before its retail start date, the practical value decision depends on current stock and the price of matching configurations.
