That difference is substantial enough to make the decision less about which phone has the higher number in one specification and more about whether the V50e’s charging speed and camera configuration justify the extra cost for you.

- Comfortable Grip – Ergonomic design makes it easier to hold your phone securely, whether horizontal or vertical. Lightweight and slim, no more worrying about accidental slips.
- Enhanced Heat Dissipation – The hollow vent design on the back improves cooling, helping your phone perform at its best and extending battery life.

Choose by processor and everyday speed
The T4R uses the Dimensity 7400 5G, while the V50e uses the Dimensity 7300; both are listed as 4nm platforms. The T4R therefore has the newer, higher-numbered processor specification. That alone does not establish how large a real-world performance difference you would notice: no independent head-to-head benchmark or testing is established here.
If processor generation is your main priority, the T4R has the specification advantage. If you are choosing based on a particular game or workload, look for independent testing of those exact phones rather than treating the chip names as a guaranteed performance result.

Camera hardware: wider rear framing or a higher-resolution selfie camera
Rear cameras
The V50e lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP wide-angle camera. The T4R lists a 50MP OIS main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera. The V50e is the more direct fit if you want a dedicated wide-angle option for fitting more into a frame; the T4R’s listed secondary camera is for bokeh effects, not a wide-angle view.
Selfies
The V50e’s front camera is listed at 50MP, compared with 32MP on the T4R. That is a resolution difference, not proof that the V50e produces better-looking selfies: megapixels do not by themselves determine image quality.

Battery capacity and charging speed are different trade-offs
vivo lists a 5700mAh typical battery for the T4R (5570mAh rated) and a 5600mAh typical battery for the V50e (5490mAh rated). The T4R has the slightly larger stated capacity. The V50e’s rated charging power is higher—90W versus 44W for the T4R—so it is the stronger specification choice if faster charging matters to you.
Battery capacity and charging wattage do not establish actual runtime or the time needed for a full charge. Those outcomes were not independently tested in this comparison.

Display and water/dust protection: little to separate them on paper
Both phones list a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 2392 × 1080 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1800-nit local peak brightness. These headline specifications are closely matched, so they are not the main reason to pay more for one model.

Software and configurations
Both parameter pages list Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. The available information does not establish a model-specific commitment for how long either phone will receive Android version upgrades or security updates, so check vivo’s current support terms if update duration is decisive.
The V50e is listed with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage. The T4R adds a 12GB/256GB configuration alongside 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB options. Neither parameter page lists expandable storage.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the vivo T4R if
- You want the lower observed official-store price for an 8GB/128GB model.
- You prefer the newer Dimensity 7400 specification and slightly larger stated battery capacity.
- You want the option of a 12GB RAM/256GB configuration.
Choose the vivo V50e if
- You value 90W rated charging more than the T4R’s larger stated battery capacity.
- You want the listed 8MP wide-angle rear camera or higher-resolution 50MP front camera.
- You need the 8GB/256GB option and find its current price acceptable.
The better value depends on the price available when you buy and which of those differences matters in daily use. The shared display and protection ratings do not resolve the choice; the clearest decision points are price, charging, camera configuration, and the T4R’s processor specification.
