Neither phone wins outright on paper. The vivo V50 has the AMOLED panel, the higher listed charging power, a dedicated ultra-wide rear camera and a 50 MP selfie camera. The vivo T5x 5G has the larger rated battery and a newer software version on vivo India’s official pages, and its box includes a phone case, charger, cable and applied protective film. On price, the current listings compare different RAM and storage variants, and the T5x’s own pages disagree with each other, so no reliable like-for-like price difference can be stated.
Everything below describes the India-market versions sold by vivo India, as listed on vivo’s official pages. Prices were checked on vivo India’s e-store on 7 October 2026 and change often. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

Processor and performance
The two phones use different chipsets: the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the V50 and the Dimensity 7400-Turbo in the T5x. Model names alone do not tell you which is faster in games, multitasking or heat management. No independent side-by-side benchmark of these two phones was available for this comparison, so any claim that one is faster would be an assumption.

The V50 uses an AMOLED panel and the T5x uses an LCD. AMOLED screens light each pixel individually, which typically gives deeper blacks and higher contrast than LCD; LCD panels are usually cheaper to produce. Both are listed at 120Hz, though vivo describes the V50 as “up to” 120Hz, which suggests it can drop to lower rates to save power. Brightness in direct sunlight and real-world colour accuracy were not measured for this comparison, so judge the screens by eye in a shop or by a reviewer’s measurements.

Battery and charging
The T5x carries the larger rated battery at 7200 mAh against the V50’s 6000 mAh typical figure. The V50’s listed charging power is more than double, at 90W against 44W. These two numbers describe different things. Capacity affects how long a charge may last, while charging power affects how quickly the battery refills, but neither figure establishes real-world battery duration or charge time, because both depend on screen use, network conditions and software behaviour.
The T5x product page describes its battery with this line: “A flagship 7200 mAh battery is built to keep up with long-term, demanding usage.” This is vivo India’s marketing copy rather than an independent battery-life finding, so treat it as a claim to verify rather than a result.

Cameras
The V50 lists three 50 MP cameras: a main camera with optical image stabilisation, an autofocus ultra-wide and a front camera. The T5x lists a 50 MP Sony IMX852 main camera, a 2 MP bokeh camera and a 32 MP front camera. The practical difference is the second rear lens: the V50 gives you a wide-angle option, while the T5x’s second rear camera is a depth sensor for portrait blur. Higher megapixel counts do not reliably indicate better photos, and the listings do not include sample images or test scores, so neither phone’s image quality is established by these specifications.

The V50 page shows Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, while the T5x page shows OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. These are the versions shown on the official India pages at the time of checking. vivo’s pages do not state how many years of system or security updates either phone will receive, or how quickly updates reach India, so do not assume either phone’s update timeline from its launch version alone.

Price: what the listings do and do not show
vivo India announced the V50 on 17 February 2025, with launch prices of ₹34,999 for 8GB+128GB, ₹36,999 for 8GB+256GB and ₹40,999 for 12GB+512GB. Those were launch prices, and they are not current quotes. The current listings below are the figures to compare, and each one carries its variant and date.

The ₹15,000 gap between the V50 at ₹42,999 and the T5x at ₹27,999 is not a like-for-like difference. The V50 figure is for 8GB+256GB and the T5x figure is for 6GB+128GB, and the T5x product page shows a different price for the same model name. Until both phones are listed at the same RAM and storage on the same day, no reliable price difference can be stated.

Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the V50 if an AMOLED screen, a dedicated ultra-wide rear camera or higher listed charging power matters more to you, and the 8GB+256GB price is acceptable on the day you buy.
- Choose the T5x if the larger rated battery, the included case and protective film, or the newer software version on its official page matters more, and its price is confirmed for the exact variant you want.
- If camera quality is your main concern, neither listing settles the question. Compare sample photos taken in your typical lighting before deciding.
Before you buy
- Choose the exact RAM and storage variant you want, since the two phones are listed at different configurations.
- Open the product page on vivo India’s e-store and confirm the live price for that variant, because the T5x’s category and product pages currently show different prices.
- Check the box contents on the listing at checkout. The T5x lists a case and protective film; the V50 listing checked here does not state its box contents.
- If software support matters to you, ask vivo India directly about the update commitment for the model you are buying, since the product pages do not state it.
- Compare camera samples and screen brightness from independent reviews or in person, since this comparison does not include measured results for either phone.
