In India, the vivo S2 launched ₹5,000 above the vivo V50 for the same 8GB/128GB configuration: ₹39,999 versus ₹34,999. The S2’s published specifications emphasize a larger, sharper display and bigger battery; the V50 lists faster charging and a more capable-sounding rear camera setup on paper. Those hardware differences do not establish which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in real use.

Which phone has the better display?
The S2 has the larger display on the published figures: 6.83 inches against the V50’s 6.77 inches. Its listed 1.5K resolution is also higher than the V50’s 2392 × 1080 panel resolution. Both are specified for refresh rates up to 120Hz, though actual refresh behavior can vary by app. The S2’s curved panel and vivo’s HDR10+ and local peak brightness claims are additional display distinctions, not proof of superior viewing quality in every setting.

Which has the bigger battery, and which charges faster?
The S2 has the higher rated capacity at 7050mAh, compared with 6000mAh for the V50. The V50 lists up to 90W wired charging, while the S2 lists 44W. Capacity alone does not establish which lasts longer: real endurance depends on factors such as display use, signal conditions, software, and workload. Likewise, rated charging wattage is not a measured charge time.
Does the V50 or S2 have the better camera?
The published hardware gives the V50 a documented 50MP OIS main camera, 50MP autofocus ultrawide, and 50MP autofocus front camera. vivo lists a 50MP main and 2MP secondary rear camera, plus a 32MP front camera, for the S2. The S2’s 2MP camera should not be assumed to be an ultrawide; vivo’s cited specifications do not identify it that way.

These specifications do not settle photo or video quality. Resolution, stabilization, lenses, image processing, and shooting conditions all matter, and no standardized head-to-head camera test is established here. The S2 announcement says it supports 4K video on both front and rear cameras; that is a manufacturer specification, not an independent quality assessment.
What do the software and durability claims mean?
vivo lists Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 for the V50. For the S2, vivo announces OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and commits to three years of Android OS upgrades plus five years of security updates. That is a stated support commitment, not evidence of delivery history. Software names and regional versions can differ, so confirm the software on the exact market version before purchase.

- Consider the V50 if its lower like-for-like launch price, 50MP ultrawide camera, or higher rated charging power better fits your priorities.
- Consider the S2 if you prefer its larger, higher-resolution published display, higher rated battery capacity, or its stated update commitment.
- Compare current listings carefully if price is decisive: match RAM and storage, seller, stock, and applied discounts rather than relying on launch figures or an old price snapshot.
Neither processor’s name nor a battery-capacity figure establishes an overall performance or endurance winner. vivo states that the S2 can reach up to 970,000 AnTuTu points, but this is a manufacturer-stated maximum, not an independently verified head-to-head benchmark.
