These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent test results. vivo notes that actual available memory is lower than the stated capacity because the operating system and pre-installed applications use storage.

Display: resolution, refresh rate and brightness figures
The 6.77-inch AMOLED panel is listed at 2392 × 1080 resolution, 387 PPI and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. vivo’s parameter page gives a 4,500-nit local peak brightness, while its overview advertises 1,300 nits maximum global brightness. These are distinct manufacturer-published brightness measures; they should not be read as interchangeable everyday screen brightness measurements.
Cameras and video features
On paper, the V50 pairs a 50MP optically stabilized main rear camera with a 50MP autofocus ultra-wide camera whose field of view is listed as 119.4 degrees. The front camera is also 50MP with autofocus. vivo’s overview describes ZEISS co-engineered portrait features and 4K video recording on all cameras. Those descriptions and specifications do not establish how the cameras perform in real-world shooting.

Battery, charging and durability
vivo lists a 6,000mAh typical battery capacity and 5,870mAh rated capacity. The phone supports 90W FlashCharge. vivo says the maximum supported charging power requires the original charger and cable, and that actual charging power varies with usage conditions. Wireless charging is not supported.

Software and update commitment
The V50 ships with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15. vivo says it promises three major Android upgrades and up to four years of security updates. The product page does not give a detailed rollout calendar, so the exact timing of individual updates is not specified.

What comes in the box?
vivo lists a Quick Start Guide, USB cable, charger, SIM eject tool, phone case, factory-applied protective film and warranty card in the box. A replacement case or screen protector is therefore optional rather than a required extra; confirm compatibility with the V50 (V2427) if buying a replacement.
Manufacturer-reported figures and launch date
vivo’s India marketing overview reports 21 hours of YouTube playback, four-year battery health, a 25,489mm² cooling area and nine temperature sensors. These are vendor-published figures, not independent measurements; the overview’s playback and battery-health claims also depend on its stated footnotes and conditions. The official pages additionally list the 4,500-nit local peak and 1,300-nit maximum global brightness figures described above.

In a post dated 7 February 2025, the vivo India community account announced that the V50 would launch on 17 February. The statement records the announced date and is promotional, not an independent evaluation of the phone.
What to check before buying
- Confirm the RAM and storage combination, color, seller, displayed price and availability on the exact listing; the 8GB + 128GB option did not have an established current price in the observed store information.
- Check that your carrier supports the V50’s listed 5G bands: n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40, n66, n77 and n78.
- Allow for the fact that usable storage is less than the quoted capacity and that expandable storage is not listed.
- Choose a color with its listed weight, thickness and back material in mind.
