These are India-market phones from different release cycles: 91mobiles dates the V40e to 25 September 2024 and the Edge 70 Fusion to 6 March 2026. The comparison below is based on published specifications, not hands-on testing.

What is different in everyday buying terms?
Display: Motorola has higher listed resolution and refresh rate
The Edge 70 Fusion lists a 2772 × 1272 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, compared with the V40e’s 2392 × 1080 resolution at 120 Hz. That gives Motorola the stronger display specification on paper. These figures do not establish which screen looks better in real-world use: brightness, color rendering and viewing conditions also matter.

Motorola lists a 7000 mAh battery, while vivo lists 5500 mAh typical capacity (5390 mAh rated). vivo, however, specifies 80 W charging against Motorola’s 68 W. Capacity and charging wattage alone cannot predict actual battery life or charging time; those depend on use and conditions.

Cameras: different strengths, no proven image-quality winner
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). Motorola’s ultrawide is 13 MP and includes macro vision; vivo’s is 8 MP. vivo lists a 50 MP front camera with autofocus, compared with Motorola’s 32 MP front camera. Megapixel counts and feature lists do not establish which phone takes better photos or video.
Size and protection
At the listed measurements, the V40e is 0.50 mm thinner and 10 g lighter. Motorola lists IP68/IP69 protection and MIL-STD-810H; the V40e is described as IP64 splash-proof by 91mobiles. These ratings are not a promise that a phone is damage-proof. Follow the manufacturer’s care and warranty guidance.

RAM, storage and software support
The V40e’s “8 GB + 8 GB extended RAM” combines 8 GB of physical RAM with software-based extended RAM; it is not 16 GB of physical memory. Motorola lists 8 GB and 12 GB RAM options and 128 GB and 256 GB storage options, while vivo’s official page lists an 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage configuration. Availability of specific combinations depends on the retail SKU.

Those durations are secondary-source claims; confirm the current support policy and applicable terms with the manufacturer rather than inferring a guaranteed end date. At the time 91mobiles’ comparison page was accessed on 4 October 2026, it showed the vivo V40e as unavailable in stores, and listed the Edge 70 Fusion at ₹29,999 on Flipkart and ₹31,767 on Amazon. These are dated retailer observations, not guaranteed live prices or official launch prices. The Amazon amount can change with seller, storage variant, stock and offers. There is no reliable like-for-like price difference to calculate from that snapshot because the V40e was unavailable. If both phones are listed when you shop, compare the same storage configuration and check seller, warranty, stock and any bank or exchange conditions at checkout. A displayed offer price is not necessarily the final price for every buyer.
