What differs in everyday use?
Performance: different chips, no established winner
The V30 Pro uses the Dimensity 8200 and the V70 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4; both are listed as 4nm processors. The cited specifications do not establish which is faster in real use, and no independent benchmark comparison is available here. Choose based on the phone’s other features rather than assuming a performance advantage from the chipset names alone.

Display: V30 Pro is larger
The V30 Pro’s 6.78-inch screen is larger than the V70’s 6.59-inch screen. Their listed resolutions are close, and both support refresh rates up to 120Hz. The V30 Pro page specifies 60Hz and 120Hz modes, while the V70 page states up to 120Hz.
Battery: higher capacity on the V70, but runtime is unproven
vivo lists a typical capacity of 6500mAh for the V70 and 5000mAh for the V30 Pro, with rated charging of 90W and 80W respectively. Those figures establish the listed capacities and charging ratings, not how long either phone lasts in a particular person’s use or how quickly it charges in real-world conditions.
Cameras: a telephoto role versus a higher-resolution ultrawide
The V70 includes a 50MP OIS telephoto camera; the V30 Pro instead lists a 50MP portrait autofocus camera. Both have a 50MP OIS main camera, while the V30 Pro’s ultrawide is listed at 50MP compared with 8MP on the V70. These hardware differences indicate different camera roles, but megapixel counts and stabilization specifications alone do not prove which phone produces better photos.

Ingress protection: V70 has higher listed ratings
The V30 Pro is rated IP54, while the V70 is listed with IP68 and IP69 ratings. These are product specifications, not a promise that water or dust damage is covered by warranty. Check the warranty terms for the model sold in your country before exposing either phone to water.
Software: cited versions reflect the global pages
The global specification pages list Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 for the V30 Pro, and Android 16 with OriginOS 6 for the V70. Software can vary by regional model and update status; these listings do not establish how long either model will receive updates.

For India, vivo’s comparison page lists the V30 Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage at ₹51,999. vivo’s V70 product listing shows 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at ₹64,999, with an MRP of ₹75,999. Subtracting the displayed selling prices gives a ₹13,000 difference.

That ₹13,000 is not a like-for-like upgrade price: the V30 Pro listing has twice the storage, and the prices come from separate pages with potentially different listing conditions. vivo’s comparison page pairs the V30 Pro with the V70 FE rather than the V70. Check current local listings and storage options before deciding.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the V70 if these listed features matter most
- You want the higher listed battery capacity and charging wattage.
- A dedicated telephoto camera is more useful to you than a higher-resolution ultrawide.
- You value the V70’s higher listed ingress-protection ratings or its newer Android version on vivo’s global page.
Choose the V30 Pro if these features matter most
- You prefer the larger 6.78-inch display.
- The cited India configuration’s 512GB storage is more important than the V70 listing’s newer hardware.
- You want a 50MP ultrawide camera on the specification sheet.
There is no universal winner based on these specifications: the V70’s listed strengths are battery, charging, telephoto hardware and ingress ratings, while the V30 Pro’s include screen size and more storage in the cited India configuration. Decide using the configuration and current price actually available in your market.
