As of October 13, 2026, reports identify the vivo T6x (model V2652) and iQOO Z12x (model I2604) in Bluetooth SIG listings, but those entries do not publish specifications, prices or launch dates. Wait for official market-specific product pages before choosing between them.
What is actually confirmed
The strongest current evidence is a report by The Tech Outlook dated October 6, 2026. It says two Bluetooth SIG entries use the names and model numbers below:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
| Phone | Reported model number | What the listing establishes |
|---|---|---|
| vivo T6x | V2652 | The name and model number appeared in a Bluetooth SIG listing. |
| iQOO Z12x | I2604 | The name and model number appeared in a Bluetooth SIG listing. |
The report does not provide a chipset, memory configuration, display specification, battery capacity, charging rate, camera hardware, software version, price or release date for either phone. A certification appearance is therefore an identification clue, not a usable comparison sheet and not a launch announcement.
Why a buying recommendation would be premature
A budget-phone decision depends on the exact version sold in your country. Two phones with the same retail name can differ by RAM, storage, network bands, included charger, warranty and launch price between markets. None of those details has been established for the T6x or Z12x in the available reporting.
#1 Best Overall
The Tech Outlook also raises the possibility that the two models could follow a previous-generation shared-hardware or rebranding pattern. That is speculation, not a confirmed relationship. Until official specifications identify the components, treat the phones as separate, unknown products rather than assuming one is a cheaper version of the other.
Do not transfer the previous generation’s specifications
Official vivo India and iQOO India pages for the vivo T5x and iQOO Z11x describe earlier-generation phones. They are useful examples of the brands’ previous lineups, but they do not establish what the T6x or Z12x contains.
- A T5x specification cannot be presented as a T6x specification.
- A Z11x specification cannot be presented as a Z12x specification.
- Previous-generation dimensions do not prove that cases, screen protectors or other accessories will fit the new models.
- Earlier prices, software policies or network support do not guarantee the same terms for the new phones.
Using those older pages to fill the gaps would create a false comparison, even if the new devices eventually resemble their predecessors.
The comparison buyers should make once official pages appear
When vivo and iQOO publish product information for your market, compare the same retail configuration on every line. The current evidence leaves each field undisclosed:

A practical method for choosing later
1. Fix your market and budget
Start with the country in which you will use the phone. Save the local product pages and prices rather than relying on an imported listing. Write down the maximum amount you will pay after tax, shipping and required accessories. A phone that looks cheaper before those costs may not be the cheaper choice.
2. Match like-for-like memory and storage
List every official configuration. If one model’s headline price is for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while the other is advertised with 8GB and 256GB, compare equivalent capacities or clearly label the difference. Also check whether storage is expandable and whether the advertised capacity is shared with system files; those details are not yet known for either model.
3. Confirm the processor before reading benchmarks
Record the exact chipset name, not just a marketing description such as “octa-core.” Then look for testing of that same phone or the same chipset in a closely matching configuration. Performance can vary with thermal limits, software and storage, so a result from a different device should not be treated as a T6x or Z12x result.

4. Decide what the display must do
For scrolling and gaming, refresh rate and touch response matter; for reading outdoors, measured brightness and reflectivity matter; for movies, panel characteristics and speaker behavior matter. Ask for all of those specifications instead of choosing on one headline number.

5. Separate battery capacity from endurance
A larger rated capacity does not automatically mean longer use. Compare charging power, charging time, background-management behavior and independent endurance measurements under comparable conditions. Check the manufacturer’s stated charging conditions and whether the necessary adapter is supplied locally.
6. Evaluate cameras by use case
Identify which camera handles wide, ultrawide, macro and depth duties, then check video stabilization and recording limits. Reviews should show daylight, indoor and night examples from the shipping software. A high-resolution sensor can still produce poorer results if processing, focus or stabilization is weaker.
7. Read the update commitment
Record the Android release installed at launch and the number and duration of OS and security updates promised for your region. If a policy is not written on an official page, mark it unconfirmed rather than inferring it from the T5x or Z11x.

Check the model number on the box or order page against the local official listing. Compare supported 5G bands with your carrier, then confirm warranty coverage, repair arrangements and return terms. These checks can outweigh a small difference in processor speed when the phones are sold through different channels.

How to interpret the shared-hardware theory
People often expect a T-series vivo phone and a Z-series iQOO phone to share a platform because earlier generations may have shown similarities. Similar naming or a shared parent company, however, does not prove identical hardware. Small changes in cameras, software, radio bands, charging, cooling, accessories or warranty can make two apparently similar phones different purchases.
To establish a rebrand, look for matching official model specifications, dimensions, regulatory identifiers and supported bands. Until those records are published, the responsible conclusion is only that a shared design is possible.

If you need a phone immediately
Do not buy either model on the strength of a certification listing. Choose a currently sold phone with published specifications, a verifiable local warranty and support for your carrier. Revisit the T6x and Z12x after official launch information appears.
If you can wait
Monitor the official vivo and iQOO sites for your country and look for a complete specification sheet, launch date and price. Treat retailer pages that omit the model number or list unverified specifications as provisional. Keep the date of each price because launch promotions can be temporary.

If an imported listing appears first
Confirm the exact regional model, language and software, charger standard, warranty destination and 5G bands before paying. An imported phone may not have the same configuration that eventually receives a local launch, and a Bluetooth SIG model number by itself does not resolve those differences.
Accessories and compatibility remain unconfirmed
No reliable evidence currently confirms the T6x or Z12x dimensions, camera-bump shape, port placement or charging standard. Do not order a case, screen protector, repair part or charger advertised as compatible solely because it names a predecessor or because the two new phones are rumored to share hardware. Wait for the official dimensions and an accessory listing tied to the exact model number.
What would change the verdict
A useful head-to-head recommendation requires, at minimum, official prices and configurations for the market you care about; processor and storage details; display measurements; battery and charging ratings; camera and video specifications; launch software and update policy; dimensions and weight; warranty and sales channels; and local 5G compatibility. Independent testing can then refine the comparison, but it cannot replace those basic facts.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsUntil that information is available, the only defensible advice is to postpone a model-specific choice. The vivo T6x and iQOO Z12x are identified as upcoming model names, not yet as fully documented budget-phone options.
