These are that publisher’s reported results, not independently reproduced tests here; benchmark scores can vary with software, settings and test conditions. Use them as a directional comparison rather than a promise of real-world speed.
Display: larger Xiaomi panel or sharper, faster vivo panel?
Xiaomi lists the larger screen: 17.75cm diagonally, or approximately 6.99 inches, compared with vivo’s 6.83 inches. The vivo display has the higher listed resolution at 2800×1260 and a refresh ceiling of 144Hz, versus Xiaomi’s 2396×1080 and up to 120Hz. In short, Xiaomi offers more screen area, while vivo lists greater pixel resolution and a higher maximum refresh rate.

Camera specifications and what they do—and do not—tell you
Both phones have a listed 50MP main rear camera. vivo also specifies a 2MP bokeh rear camera and 32MP selfie camera; Xiaomi India lists an 8MP front camera. These figures describe camera hardware, not photo quality: megapixel counts alone do not show how images look across lighting, portrait effects or video. 91mobiles reported PCMark battery results of 18 hours 39 minutes for vivo and 16 hours 14 minutes for Xiaomi. Those are third-party test observations, not guarantees of everyday runtime; usage, settings and test methodology affect battery results.
Price difference: what the observed listings show
On 4 October 2026, 91mobiles displayed Amazon prices of ₹39,865 for the vivo T5 Pro 5G and ₹27,999 for the Redmi Note 17 5G, a difference of ₹11,866 in that snapshot. Separately, vivo’s official India e-store listed ₹41,999 for the 8GB+128GB T5 Pro on the same date. Before deciding, compare the current checkout price for the exact RAM and storage configuration, confirm the market version, and include any delivery or offer conditions. Regional variants: do not mix the India and UK Redmi specifications
Xiaomi’s UK Redmi Note 17 5G page lists a 7700mAh battery, 16MP front camera, different memory and storage choices, and no included adapter. Xiaomi India instead lists 8000mAh typical capacity, an 8MP front camera, and a 45W charger in the box. Those are regional differences, not contradictory specifications for one universal model.
