The vivo T5 5G is the stronger paper choice if you want its listed Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset and a 50 MP main camera with OIS plus an 8 MP ultra-wide. The S2 5G has a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP bokeh camera. Both are listed with a 6.83-inch, 2800 × 1260 display, a 7050 mAh typical-capacity battery and 44 W charging. Prices shown on vivo India pages vary by model configuration and listing, so the figures below are snapshots rather than a like-for-like verdict.

What is the price difference in India?
At the time reflected by the checked vivo India pages, the T5 store listing showed ₹34,999 for the 6 GB + 128 GB model. An S2 selected 8 GB + 128 GB SKU showed ₹42,999, while vivo’s category listing showed ₹39,999 for an S2 variant. The S2 figures differ by page, and the T5 and S2 prices are for different RAM configurations, so they are not a reliable like-for-like price comparison. Check the selected variant and final checkout total before buying.

How do the processors and performance claims compare?
The current T5 product page and store listing identify a Dimensity 7500 Turbo, while vivo lists a Dimensity 7360-Turbo for the S2. That makes the T5 the more compelling option on the published chipset specification, but it does not prove a particular real-world speed advantage in apps, games or sustained workloads. No independent head-to-head test is established here.
vivo publishes an AnTuTu score of 1,202,592 for the T5 as a manufacturer laboratory result and says results can vary with configuration and test environment. Its S2 page publishes 970,000, also as a manufacturer result. These figures are not an independently verified comparison, and benchmark scores are not guaranteed user results. See vivo’s T5 product page and S2 product page for the claims.

Are the displays and batteries different?
The product and store pages list the T5 with a 6.83-inch, 2800 × 1260 AMOLED display. vivo’s S2 specifications give the same size and resolution and describe a curved 1.5K POLED/AMOLED-class panel with refresh rate up to 120 Hz. The S2 page explicitly states that refresh-rate ceiling; the cited T5 product and store listings do not establish its refresh rate, so it should not be assumed to match. Check the exact model listing for panel and refresh details before purchase.

The S2’s actual battery life likewise depends on settings, network conditions and use.

Which phone has the more useful camera setup?
The T5’s listed rear hardware combines a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. The S2 pairs a 50 MP main camera with a 2 MP bokeh/secondary camera. The ultra-wide gives the T5 a dedicated option for fitting more into a frame; OIS is a hardware stabilisation feature on its main camera. Those distinctions describe the listed hardware, not a proven overall image-quality winner.
Both are listed with 32 MP front cameras, and vivo advertises 4K recording from front and rear cameras for both models. These are manufacturer specifications; recording modes and practical results can depend on the selected camera and settings.

Important caveat: vivo’s T5 specification pages conflict
vivo’s T5 product page and store listing agree on the Dimensity 7500 Turbo, AMOLED display and 50 MP OIS plus 8 MP ultra-wide rear-camera system. However, a separate T5 parameter page lists a Dimensity 7400-Turbo and LCD display, among other differences. These official pages conflict; the comparison above follows the product and active store listings, not a claim that the discrepancy has been resolved. Confirm the specification for the exact unit and listing you intend to buy.
