The vivo T4 Ultra is the better fit if you want a listed Dimensity 9300+ chipset, a dedicated 3x periscope camera and a lighter phone. Consider the POCO X8 Power 5G if a much larger battery and display matter more: its reported battery is 10,000 mAh and its screen is 6.83 inches. For matching 8 GB/256 GB configurations, the cited prices differ by ₹3,000, with vivo lower—but one is a store listing marked out of stock and the other is a reported launch price, not a verified live offer.

These are reported specifications, not results from side-by-side testing. The display brightness figures are not directly comparable: the vivo figure is specified as HBM, while an equivalent POCO brightness figure is not established in the cited material. Protection ratings are listed specifications and should not be treated as proof that the two phones underwent identical certification tests.

Which phone is better for performance?

vivo T4 Ultra: stronger chipset on the spec sheet

vivo lists the T4 Ultra with a 4 nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ and Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. That makes it the spec-led choice for shoppers who prioritize the processor, but the chipset listing alone does not establish real-world gaming frame rates, sustained performance or thermal behavior.

POCO X8 Power 5G: different chip and software version

Gadgets360 reports a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Android 16 for the POCO X8 Power 5G. The available figures do not establish a controlled performance comparison between the two phones, so choose based on the listed hardware and your priorities rather than assuming a specific speed difference in everyday use.

Camera comparison: vivo adds a 3x periscope lens

The clearest camera hardware difference is on the rear. vivo’s official specifications list a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP Sony IMX882 periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultra-wide. The POCO is reported with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide, with no dedicated telephoto camera listed in the cited comparison.

The extra lens gives the vivo a dedicated camera for telephoto framing; it does not, by itself, prove which phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts also cannot settle image quality without comparable sample images and test conditions. vivo additionally lists a 32 MP front camera.

Battery and display: POCO prioritizes size

POCO’s capacity advantage

Gadgets360 reports a 10,000 mAh battery and 100 W charging for the POCO X8 Power 5G. vivo lists a 5,500 mAh typical-capacity battery and 90 W charging for the T4 Ultra. The POCO therefore has substantially higher nominal capacity on paper, but no verified side-by-side runtime or charge-time test is available here. Actual endurance depends on usage and other factors, so capacity alone is not a runtime guarantee.

POCO has the larger screen; vivo is lighter

The POCO’s reported 6.83-inch display is larger than the vivo’s 6.67-inch panel. Both are listed at 120 Hz. vivo specifies a 2800 × 1260 resolution and 1600 nits HBM; Gadgets360 reports 1280 × 2772 for the POCO. The POCO is also listed at 229 g, compared with about 193 g for the vivo, a difference that may matter if you prefer a lighter phone or use it one-handed.

Neither figure confirms a current purchasable offer.

For context, Gadgets360 also reported a ₹35,999 launch price for the POCO’s 8 GB/128 GB configuration. That is not a direct price comparison with the vivo 8 GB/256 GB listing because the storage capacities differ. vivo’s official specifications list 8 GB/256 GB, 12 GB/256 GB and 12 GB/512 GB configurations.
