On paper, vivo T4 Pro is the more zoom-focused option and lists faster wired charging; TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G pairs a higher-refresh-rate screen with an ultrawide rear camera. Both list a 6,500mAh battery. There is no reliable, current like-for-like price comparison in the available listings, so check live prices for the same storage tier before deciding on value.

Which camera setup fits your photos?
Choose vivo for a listed 3x periscope telephoto
The T4 Pro’s listed 50MP 3x periscope camera gives it a dedicated zoom-oriented option alongside the main camera. That can be useful when a subject is too far away to frame comfortably with the main camera, but the specification alone does not establish image quality or performance in real-world conditions.
Choose TECNO for an ultrawide view
The POVA 8 Pro 5G lists an 8MP ultrawide alongside a 50MP OIS main camera. An ultrawide is suited to fitting more of a scene into a frame, such as a group or a wide interior. Megapixel counts do not make the two camera systems directly comparable, and no hands-on image test is available here.

Display, battery and charging differences
TECNO lists a 6.78-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz; the secondary comparison listing gives vivo’s 6.77-inch screen a 120Hz refresh rate. The difference in stated size is slight. A higher refresh-rate ceiling may make supported motion look smoother, but it does not by itself establish how the screen behaves across apps or how long the battery lasts.
Both manufacturers list a 6,500mAh battery. vivo separately gives a rated capacity of 6,330mAh and a maximum charging power of 90W; TECNO lists 45W charging. The published maximums favor vivo for charging speed on paper, but they are not a promise of a particular charging time: vivo says charging power adjusts dynamically and actual results vary.
Software versions do not settle update support
The cited India page lists Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 for vivo, while TECNO lists Android 16 with HiOS 16. These are the versions shown on those pages, not a guarantee of what every regional unit ships with. A newer listed Android version does not establish how many years of security patches or major OS upgrades a phone will receive. Check each manufacturer’s support commitment for the exact market and model before treating software longevity as a deciding factor.

Price and availability: verify the same variant
The available price snapshots are not a dependable live, like-for-like comparison. A 91mobiles comparison listing surfaced ₹27,999 for vivo T4 Pro but marked it “Out of Stock,” and showed ₹49,999 for POVA 8 Pro 5G at Flipkart. Gadgets 360’s page, last updated 2 October 2026, listed the POVA at ₹49,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹54,999 for 12GB/512GB. These are third-party listing indications, not confirmed checkout prices or proof of a current price gap.
Before comparing value, check both phones at the same time, in the same market, and at the same storage capacity. Confirm seller, stock, warranty, return terms and any offer conditions; a listed price for one configuration should not be compared with a different configuration of the other phone.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider vivo T4 Pro if a listed 3x periscope camera and higher maximum wired charging power matter more to you than an ultrawide camera or the higher listed refresh rate.
- Consider TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if you prefer an ultrawide rear camera, a display listed at up to 144Hz, or a storage option up to 512GB.
- Compare the exact local listings if protection, software support or price will decide the purchase. Confirm the unit’s specifications, local network compatibility, warranty and stock rather than assuming listings apply across regions.
These are feature-based choices from published specifications, not conclusions from hands-on testing. Neither a manufacturer’s performance claims nor a comparison-page result establishes everyday speed, camera quality or battery endurance under controlled conditions.
