The clearest hardware trade-off is the T4 Pro’s dedicated 3x periscope camera and 90W listed charging against the T5x’s larger stated battery capacity.

At the displayed entry prices, the difference is ₹0, but the T4 Pro has 8GB RAM while the T5x has 6GB. The more useful direct price comparison is therefore the T4 Pro 8GB+128GB against a T5x configuration with 8GB RAM; the retrieved store information does not establish a T5x price for that matched tier. Camera comparison: the T4 Pro adds dedicated 3x optical reach
The T4 Pro lists a 50MP OIS periscope telephoto camera with 3x reach, alongside its 50MP OIS main camera. The T5x’s retrieved rear-camera listing contains a 50MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera, but no dedicated periscope telephoto camera. That makes the T4 Pro the more clearly equipped choice on paper for framing distant subjects or portraits with a separate telephoto lens.
These camera specifications do not prove which phone takes better photos overall. No controlled head-to-head camera results are established here, so image processing, low-light output, stabilization in practice, and video quality should not be treated as settled by megapixel counts. vivo’s T4 Pro launch announcement also lists 4K front and rear video recording; that claim is specific to the T4 Pro announcement, not a comparison result. vivo India’s T4 Pro launch announcement.

Battery and charging: capacity favors T5x, charging rate favors T4 Pro
vivo lists a 7200mAh battery and 44W charging for the T5x, compared with the T4 Pro’s 6500mAh typical capacity and up to 90W charging. The T5x therefore has the larger stated capacity, while the T4 Pro has the higher listed charging power. Neither capacity nor charging wattage alone establishes how long a phone lasts in use or how long it takes to recharge: actual results depend on usage and charging conditions, and there are no comparable controlled endurance or charge-time results established here.

Processors
The T4 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4; the T5x uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400-Turbo. The names identify different platforms, but without comparable independent benchmark or gaming tests, they are not enough to declare a real-world speed, thermal, or gaming winner.

Software and stated support
The T4 Pro is listed with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15. vivo’s T4 Pro overview describes a “4+6 years OS Policy,” while its store product text specifies four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates. The retrieved T5x product information lists OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 but does not establish a comparable support duration. Do not assume the T4 Pro’s stated policy also applies to the T5x. vivo T4 Pro overview.
Water and dust resistance
vivo lists IP68/IP69 for the T4 Pro and promotes IP68/IP69+ for the T5x. These are manufacturer-published ratings, not a reason to call either device waterproof. vivo specifically says resistance is not permanent and liquid damage is not covered by warranty on the T4 Pro specification page. Review the relevant warranty terms and handle either phone as an electronic device that can be damaged by liquid.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the T4 Pro if a dedicated 3x periscope camera or higher listed charging power is more important to you. Confirm the exact RAM/storage variant and current stock first; its 8GB+128GB e-store selection was out of stock when checked.
- Consider the T5x if its larger stated battery capacity is the more relevant specification for your priorities. Its entry listing has 6GB RAM, so compare the price of an 8GB T5x variant rather than treating the two ₹27,999 entry listings as memory-matched.
- Make price the deciding factor only after checking the same RAM/storage tier and the live price at the retailer where you intend to buy. The prices in this comparison are vivo India e-store observations, not universal or third-party prices.
