The vivo T4 Pro is the stronger specification-sheet pick for battery capacity, charging, durability ratings and stated Android OS support. Nothing Phone (4a) offers a sharper display, an ultrawide rear camera and longer listed periscope optical zoom. There is no reliable single price gap to quote: the available figures come from different dates and listings, and some configurations were out of stock.

Price difference: why the listings do not establish today’s gap
The observed vivo India Store listing showed ₹27,999 against an MRP of ₹32,999 for the 8GB/128GB T4 Pro, but marked that selected configuration out of stock when checked in 2026. The ₹27,999 figure is a listing snapshot, not a guaranteed offer or assurance of availability. vivo India Store
Android Central reported a ₹31,999 India launch price for the Nothing Phone (4a) 8GB/128GB on 5 March 2026. That is its historical launch price, not necessarily its current selling price. Android Central A later 91mobiles comparison-page snapshot displayed ₹27,999 for vivo and ₹34,999 for Nothing, with both marked out of stock; those displayed amounts are not verified live quotes. 91mobiles

Display and processor: resolution is not a speed test
On listed display figures, Nothing has a slight size advantage—6.78 inches versus 6.77—and a higher resolution of 1224 × 2720 compared with vivo’s 1080 × 2392. Both are listed at 120Hz. That establishes a resolution difference, not which screen looks better in person; brightness, calibration and viewing conditions are not compared here.

The phones use differently named chips: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the vivo and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in Nothing, according to the cited listings. Chip names alone do not establish which phone will feel faster in everyday use or perform better in sustained gaming. The comparison page also shows Geekbench multi-core scores, but does not establish test conditions, so those figures are not a sound basis for a head-to-head verdict.

Cameras: compare the lenses, not an untested winner
The listed rear-camera setups differ in what they cover. Both phones have a 50MP main camera and a 50MP periscope camera. The comparison listing gives the vivo periscope up to 3× optical zoom and adds a 2MP depth camera; for Nothing it lists up to 3.5× optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide. Those specifications make Nothing the more versatile-looking setup if an ultrawide lens or the longer stated optical zoom matters to you. They do not establish better photos, video, low-light results or portrait processing.

Battery, charging and water resistance
vivo lists a 6500mAh typical battery, with 6330mAh rated capacity, and charging up to 90W. 91mobiles lists 5400mAh and 50W for Nothing. Capacity and maximum charging wattage do not guarantee a particular screen-on time or time to full charge: actual results depend on use, settings, charger and charging conditions.
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ratings and says its testing was conducted under controlled laboratory conditions. It also states that resistance is not permanent and liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. Android Central’s launch report lists IP64 for Nothing. Neither rating means a phone is waterproof or makes deliberate exposure to water risk-free.

Software support and what’s in the vivo box
For the India-market T4 Pro, vivo’s store lists Funtouch OS 15 and promises four years of Android OS updates plus six years of security updates. Android Central reported Nothing’s commitment as three major Android updates and up to six years of security updates. Update periods can be counted differently by manufacturers, so the figures should not be treated as identical schedules without checking each brand’s detailed terms.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the vivo T4 Pro if
- You prioritize the larger listed battery capacity and faster maximum wired charging.
- You value vivo’s stated four Android OS update years or the phone’s listed IP68/IP69 ratings, subject to the rating and warranty caveats above.
- You want a periscope camera and are satisfied with the listed 3× optical zoom rather than needing an ultrawide camera.
Choose Nothing Phone (4a) if
- You prefer the higher listed display resolution.
- You want an ultrawide rear camera or the longer listed 3.5× periscope optical zoom.
- You are comfortable assessing its current price and support terms against your priorities rather than relying on launch pricing alone.
For sustained gaming, thermals, real-world battery runtime, camera output and software preference, specifications are not enough to settle the choice; use attributable hands-on tests for those questions. Whichever model you choose, compare live offers for the same RAM and storage configuration before deciding.
