Battery, display and charging: T5 Pro has the larger listed hardware
Battery capacity and charging
The T5 Pro lists a 9,020mAh battery and 90W charging, compared with the T3 Ultra’s 5,500mAh battery and 80W charging. That gives the T5 Pro the advantage on rated capacity and charging wattage, but capacity alone cannot establish real battery life, and charging speed depends on usage and conditions.
vivo’s undated T3 Ultra launch page gives estimates of 65+ hours of music streaming, 9+ hours of PUBG gaming, 22+ hours of YouTube streaming and 13+ hours of Instagram short-video playback. These are vivo-published estimates, not independent results; the surfaced page text does not sufficiently document conditions to generalize them.

Screen size and refresh rate
The T5 Pro’s listed screen is slightly larger at 6.83 inches versus 6.78 inches, with both phones specified at 2800 × 1260 resolution. vivo’s T3 Ultra parameter page lists 120Hz; the T5 Pro shop page advertises 144Hz. Those figures describe the stated refresh-rate specifications, not a measured difference in brightness, smoothness or image quality.
Cameras: different rear-camera combinations
The T3 Ultra lists a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), plus an 8MP ultrawide camera. The T5 Pro lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera. The T3 Ultra therefore has the specifically listed ultrawide and OIS hardware; the T5 Pro’s secondary camera is identified as a bokeh sensor. The specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video.

For selfies, the T3 Ultra lists a 50MP autofocus front camera, while the T5 Pro lists a 32MP front camera. More megapixels do not guarantee better selfie quality, so consider this a hardware distinction rather than a photo-quality verdict.

Chipsets
vivo lists the Dimensity 9200+ for the T3 Ultra and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 for the T5 Pro. Chipset names and specifications are not enough to determine which phone is faster in your apps, games or sustained workloads. vivo’s undated T3 Ultra launch page claims an AnTuTu score of 1,609,257+ for the 12GB+256GB variant, based on vivo laboratory testing. That vendor test is not a direct comparison with the T5 Pro, and no matching T5 Pro score under the same conditions is established here.

The T5 Pro shop page also advertises “Upto 120FPS Gaming” and a “7k VC Cooling system.” These are manufacturer/shop claims, not controlled comparative findings.

The official parameter pages list Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 for the T3 Ultra, and Android 16 with OriginOS 6.0 for the T5 Pro. These are the software versions listed on those pages; check vivo’s current update information for the selected model if update duration or regional software availability matters to you.

Water and dust ratings
The T3 Ultra is listed with IP68, while the T5 Pro is listed with IP68 and IP69. These ratings indicate specified levels of ingress protection under defined test conditions; they do not make either phone immune to every kind of water or dust exposure. Follow vivo’s care and warranty guidance rather than treating a rating as permission for unrestricted use around liquids.
