Fingerprint sensor types: what is confirmed
Fingerprint presence does not mean every vivo phone uses the same technology or placement. vivo’s V70 product page specifies a 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor 2.0. Its T5 5G product page specifies an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. Those specifications are confirmed for these models; they should not be generalized to every phone appearing in third-party category lists.

How to choose and verify a phone
- Decide whether placement matters. If you specifically want an in-display reader, use an in-display category list as a discovery filter; otherwise include all fingerprint placements. A listing filter alone does not confirm a particular model’s sensor type.
- Confirm the exact model and variant. Match the network version, RAM and storage to the price you are comparing. A model name can have multiple configurations and different prices.
- Verify the sensor on the model’s specification page. Look for an explicit description such as “in-display optical” or “3D Ultrasonic.” If no official specification is available for the exact model, treat its fingerprint details as unconfirmed.
- Compare price provenance and availability. Distinguish a vivo India store offer from a third-party lowest-price listing, then check the selected variant, stock status, location and final checkout price.
- Assess the rest of the phone for your needs. Fingerprint convenience is only one factor; compare the phone’s broader specifications and the exact variant before choosing.
