Vivo announced three phones—the X Fold6, V80 and S2 FE—and introduced OriginOS 7 in India on October 6, 2026. It also previewed its Vision Discovery Edition mixed reality headset, but the announcement describes a limited in-store experience, not a general retail launch.
What Vivo announced in India
The October 6 event covered three phones and a software release. Vivo presents the V80 as a creator-focused phone, the X Fold6 as a foldable for productivity and multitasking, and the S2 FE as a design- and endurance-oriented device. The company also introduced OriginOS 7 in India and showed the Vision Discovery Edition mixed reality headset.

X Fold6: foldable workspace
The X Fold6 is the foldable in the lineup. Vivo gives its main, inner display size as 8.02 inches (20.38cm); that figure is not the size of the cover display. The company highlights multitasking and productivity features in OriginOS 7.
Vivo also calls the X Fold6’s battery the “India’s Biggest Battery” in the foldable category. Its qualification is important: the claim concerns a 6,900mAh typical capacity (6,670mAh rated) among foldable smartphones launched in India, based on publicly available information as of September 10, 2026. This is Vivo’s stated comparison, not a timeless or worldwide ranking.

S2 FE: battery and record claim
Vivo states that the S2 FE has a 10,000mAh battery. Its release associates the phone with a Guinness World Records title for the longest electronic product testing livestream, lasting 32 hours and 37 minutes. That duration describes the livestream; it is not a claim about the phone’s battery runtime.
