The Viltrox 50mm F2.0 Air sample gallery is a collection of photographer-credited images hosted by Viltrox. It gives you examples of how photographs made with the lens can look, along with the camera-body labels shown for each sample; it is not a controlled lens test or a standardized comparison between camera systems.
What the Viltrox 50mm F2.0 Air sample gallery shows
Viltrox’s official gallery presents credited photographs labeled with a mix of Sony A7R5, A7M3, A7CR and A7C2 bodies, as well as Nikon Z6 and Z7 bodies. Keep the displayed photographer credit and camera label with each image when viewing or sharing it: those details provide context for that particular photograph.

The gallery is useful for looking at the lens’s appearance in real photographic scenes. Study the subject, background, framing and visible areas of detail in each image. The examples are individual photographs, however, not matched frames made under equivalent conditions. The body labels do not establish a controlled comparison between cameras or show that every mount was tested in the same way.

Read each image as an example, not a benchmark
A gallery frame can show how a photographer used the lens for a particular subject and composition. It cannot, by itself, establish sharpness across the frame, autofocus speed, distortion, vignetting, flare resistance or performance against another lens. Those judgments require appropriate controlled tests or a detailed review; the gallery does not supply standardized measurements for them.

Account for the camera and framing
The camera body and the way a photograph is framed affect what appears in the image. A 50mm lens does not make every sample a directly comparable view: body format, shooting distance, orientation and composition can all shape the result. Treat the listed body as useful context, not proof that two photographs were made under matching conditions.
Do not infer missing settings
Use only the information Viltrox displays with a particular image. The gallery labels do not, on their own, establish exposure settings, focusing distance, processing choices or other capture details. Avoid drawing conclusions about those details from the photograph alone.

Which versions of the 50mm F2.0 Air are covered?
Viltrox’s April 2, 2025 launch announcement introduced Sony E and Nikon Z versions. It gives launch weights of 205g for Sony E and 220g for Nikon Z, and identifies a 58mm filter thread. These are manufacturer-published launch specifications, not weights independently measured from the gallery samples. Check the exact mount on the product listing before purchase.

These are Nikon Z listing specifications; verify the relevant mount-specific listing rather than assuming every detail applies unchanged to another version. In September 2026, Digital Camera World reported a newer L-mount variant among Viltrox Air lenses. That report does not establish availability in every region, so confirm that the specific L-mount version is currently offered where you shop.

Viltrox’s gallery is best used to inspect credited sample photographs, not to decide from images alone whether the lens meets a particular technical standard. Digital Camera World has published a review covering the Nikon Z and Sony E versions, but no detailed measured findings from that review are included here. For a purchase decision, combine gallery examples with a review that addresses your specific mount and the performance question you care about.
