How useful is it for pet hair?
The accessory list is the clearest pet-specific feature: it includes a TurboTool as well as an upholstery tool. Those tools make the VX28 a plausible option for cleaning upholstery and pet-related messes, but the available evidence does not show measured hair removal, performance on different carpet piles, or results against other vacuums. Treat the “Pet” name as a product designation, not proof of a particular cleaning outcome.
The 2.5L container and 6m cord are practical specifications to compare with your home and cleaning routine. The guide does not establish how often a particular household will need to empty the container or whether the cord reaches every area without changing sockets.

Vax says to check filters regularly and keep them clean; the vacuum should not be used with blocked or missing filters. The two filters have different care requirements, so do not wash them both.

If the vacuum is not picking up, Vax’s guide recommends checking the filters, separator, hose and dirt container, including whether the container is fitted correctly. Unplug the appliance before maintenance or before connecting or disconnecting accessories. Follow the VX28 guide for the cleaning procedure rather than assuming that all vacuum filters or parts can be treated alike.

Regional model and parts checks
Power 5 names appear on products in more than one market, but that does not establish that their specifications, guarantees or spares are interchangeable. Vax UK’s separate Power 5 Pet page describes a 4.7kg cleaner and a two-year guarantee; those details belong to that UK-listed product, not the VX28 guide, which states 4.9kg. Do not use the UK page’s weight or guarantee as VX28 specifications.
Vax UK’s Power 5 support catalog lists parts and accessories for its UK Power 5 family, including an exhaust-filter grille, upholstery tool, crevice tool, 2-in-1 tool, cleaning kit and telescopic tube. The catalog does not establish that every listed item fits VX28, and stock can change. Before ordering, check the vacuum’s rating plate and exact model, then confirm the part number and explicit compatibility with the manufacturer or seller. Check the market, plug and voltage when considering a listing, too.
