Masters tournaments

Masters Santiago and Masters London are global events fed by regional qualification. Masters is therefore the point at which regional results become cross-territory matches. A team can qualify through its region without having played every other territory, and international placement does not by itself describe the next regional bracket. Use the event page for the draw, match order and broadcast feed.

Stage 2: Challenger Play-Ins and the Champions race

The Stage 2 overview adds Challenger teams through Play-Ins before the regional playoffs. Playoff results and Championship Point qualification then determine which teams reach Champions Shanghai. Because the handbook compresses several regional systems into one overview, the number of Play-In places, seeding and point thresholds must be taken from your territory’s Stage 2 rules rather than inferred from another region.

“Play-In” is a qualification phase, not a guarantee that every Challenger team enters the main playoff bracket. Start with the event page

Open the official schedule, select the match or event and follow its broadcast link. This gives you the current start time, the correct territory and any language or co-stream information attached to that event.

Americas broadcasts

Riot’s VCT Americas Stage 1 guide identifies official broadcasts on Twitch and YouTube in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Broadcast days and times are listed through the event information, so use that guide and the live schedule rather than relying on a generic weekly timetable.

Other territories and co-streams

What changes are planned for VCT in 2027?

Riot announced a planned redesign beginning in 2027. The proposal moves VCT toward open qualification, two Cups per territory each year and a unified tier. Cups are intended to replace regular-season league play and provide direct qualification routes to Masters and Champions.

These are announced design plans, not a complete operating rulebook. Riot said regional calendars, slot allocations and locations would be shared later, so those details should not be presented as settled. The announcement’s design principle is summarized in Riot’s words: “Every match should carry weight.”

Riot also reported that more than $86 million was shared with VCT teams through digital goods in 2025.
