Riot Games’ 2027 VALORANT Champions Tour will visit 15 cities across more than 50 tournaments. The announced calendar starts with regional Kickoff events in São Paulo, Berlin, Bangkok and Hangzhou, moves through Masters in Seoul and Valencia, stages two four-region Cup rounds, and ends with both Champions and the Game Changers Championship in Austin. Qualifiers begin in November 2026.

The schedule below covers every location and date range announced for the 2027 season. Cities listed under Cups represent the Americas, EMEA, Pacific and China stops for that round.

How teams qualify for the 2027 season
Riot describes 2027 as a tournament-first season with more than 50 events across Opens, Kickoff, Cups, Masters and Champions. Open qualification runs throughout the year rather than being limited to a single preseason league entry point.
- Enter regional Opens. Open events provide the initial competitive route and are designed to let new or less-established teams challenge existing contenders.
- Advance through regional competition. Regional Opens feed into the Cup pathway. The four competitive regions are the Americas, EMEA, Pacific and China.
- Reach the international stages. Stronger teams progress toward Masters events and, ultimately, Champions. Riot has not published a complete slot allocation or match-by-match qualification rulebook in the location announcement.
Kickoff qualification starts in November 2026, before the January 2027 main calendar. That timing means teams and players need to follow regional announcements before the first event in São Paulo, Berlin, Bangkok or Hangzhou.

What the stages mean
Kickoff
Kickoff is the regional opening phase. Four simultaneous regional hubs launch the competitive year, giving each territory its first route into the new season’s progression system.
Cups
Cup 1 and Cup 2 are four-region rounds, with one host city assigned to each of the Americas, EMEA, Pacific and China. They sit between the Masters events and connect regional Open play with the international ladder.

Masters
Masters 1 in Seoul and Masters 2 in Valencia are the two announced global stops before the final championship period. The announcement identifies their locations and dates but does not provide venue names, ticket details or broadcast-rights information.
Champions and Game Changers Championship
Austin hosts both season-ending championships from September 16 through October 10. The announcement groups the main VCT Champions event and the Game Changers Championship in the same Austin window; it does not state whether they use the same venue or identical daily schedules.

Why the 2027 format is different
The expanded calendar is built around open entry and a larger number of tournaments instead of concentrating attention in a small set of closed league fixtures. Riot says the tour is its “biggest tour” yet and spans 15 cities. Anna Donlon, Head of VALORANT Studios, and Leo Faria, Global Head of VALORANT Esports, were quoted by Sheep Esports describing Opens as a way to crown local champions before the best move on to Cups, Masters and Champions. Their stated aim is that “anyone can win,” although actual advancement will still depend on each region’s published competitive rules.
Sheep Esports also reported more than $7 million in prize money for the 2027 season. That figure is a season-level report, not a published purse for any individual event.

What fans can plan now
- Track the November 2026 qualifier announcements. They determine the earliest entry opportunities and regional schedules.
- Use the city schedule to plan travel windows. Seoul, Valencia and Austin are the announced global-stage destinations; the remaining cities host regional Kickoff or Cup stops.
- Wait for event-specific details before booking. Venue names, ticket sales, broadcast rights and partner programs were not included in the location announcement.
- Check the region attached to each event. A Cup city represents one regional stop, while Masters and the season-ending championships are labeled global stages.
The complete takeaway
VCT 2027 begins with November 2026 qualifiers and a January Kickoff in four regional cities. Seoul hosts Masters 1, Valencia hosts Masters 2, eight additional cities share the two Cup rounds, and Austin closes the year with Champions and the Game Changers Championship. The result is a 15-city, open-qualification tour running through October 10, 2027.
