Xbox Game Pass subscribers are reported to get the full game from release. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers get a 90-minute trial, not the full game. The studio says it is not taking preorders.
Game Pass vs. PlayStation Plus: what each one gives you
The announcement came from the official Valor Mortis account on X on October 5, 2026. Instant Gaming News quoted it: “Valor Mortis will be in XBOX Game Pass and we’ll have a 90 min PlayStation Plus Trial!” We could not open the original post, so the details below come from that quote and from Beebom’s coverage.

| Question | Xbox Game Pass | PlayStation Plus Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Access type | Full game, reported as included from release | Timed trial |
| Length | Not stated; no catalog duration was given | 90 minutes |
| Tier named | Not specified in the announcement | Premium |
| Ownership | Subscription access, not a permanent license | None; a demo-style trial |
| Then what? | Keep playing while the game stays in the catalog | Buy the game to continue |
Treat the Game Pass inclusion as access for as long as the game stays in the catalog. Nothing reviewed says how long that will be. The trial is also not a full-game rental. Nothing reviewed explains whether progress carries over to a purchased copy, so don’t assume it does.

Which route suits you
- Xbox or Game Pass on PC: Check that your plan covers the platform you play on, then play at launch without buying.
- PlayStation with Premium: Use the 90 minutes to judge the controls and pacing, then decide whether to buy.
- PlayStation without Premium: The trial is reported only for Premium, so you would have to buy the game outright.
- Buying outright: Standard is the cheaper entry. Deluxe only makes sense if you want the story DLC.
