What the Fusion Forge does
The Fusion Forge is an endgame customization station for refining attributes on weapons and jewels. It does not manufacture a weapon from raw materials, and it does not turn a random item into an Ancestral weapon. Instead, it presents the attributes available on two compatible items and lets you write a chosen combination onto the item in the left slot.

That distinction matters because the forge is an optimization tool. You still need eligible weapons or jewels to use as inputs, and every completed operation permanently consumes the item in the right slot. The best results come from treating one item as your target and the other as a donor whose useful trait is worth sacrificing.
How to unlock the Fusion Forge
Defeat Dantos the Forgebinder
Progress through Oakveil’s endgame and defeat Dantos the Forgebinder. Drinking Dantos’s V Blood unlocks the Fusion Forge blueprint and the Ember Glass recipe, according to the specialist progression guide. The station is therefore not available at the start of a new castle; it is tied to this late-game boss encounter.

Build the station at your castle
Once the blueprint is unlocked, construct the forge in your castle using the following materials:

Construction materials are separate from the operating cost. Reserve additional Ember Glass before you begin rerolling traits: every completed fusion consumes fuel in addition to what you spent building the station.
Fusion Forge costs and room bonuses

The flooring discount saves 3 Ember Glass on every completed fusion, a 25% reduction from the normal 12. The same confined room also provides a documented 25% speed bonus. If you expect to make several attempts while tuning a build, placing the forge in a dedicated room with the matching floor reduces both material consumption and waiting time.
Only a completed fusion consumes the operating fuel. Plan your stock around the number of combinations you intend to finish, not merely the number of items you want to inspect. At the discounted rate, ten completed fusions require 90 Ember Glass instead of 120.
How to use the station
1. Choose the item you want to preserve
Put your target item in the left slot. This item survives the operation, and its base identity and original number of attribute slots remain the foundation of the result. For weapons, that usually means putting the weapon type and tier you actually want to use on the left. For jewels, put the spell-specific jewel whose base result you want to keep on the left.
2. Add a donor item
Put the item carrying a desirable alternative attribute in the right slot. The right-slot item is destroyed when the fusion is completed, so do not place an item there unless you are willing to lose it permanently.

3. Review the available attributes
The forge combines the attributes available from both inputs into a selectable list. Read the list before confirming. This is the point at which you compare the target’s existing traits with the donor’s traits and decide which ones are worth transferring.
4. Select the traits to write
Choose the attributes you want the resulting left-slot item to carry. Fusion swaps in better traits; it is not an unlimited slot expansion system. The output keeps the left item’s original attribute count, so selecting a new trait means deciding which existing slot or trait it replaces when the target has no spare capacity.
5. Confirm only after checking the destruction warning
Confirming completes the fusion, consumes the Ember Glass fuel, and destroys the right-slot item. There is no reason to rush this screen: compare every available trait, verify that the left item is the one you intend to keep, and make sure the donor is not a weapon or jewel you may need for another combination.
Which items can be fused?
Ancestral weapons
The forge accepts Ancestral weapons and allows flexible weapon fusion across weapon types and tiers. A donor does not have to be the same weapon type as the target. That lets you preserve your preferred weapon while borrowing a strong attribute from an otherwise unsuitable Ancestral weapon.

References for the station list shattered or reforged Ancestral weapons among eligible inputs. Eligibility does not mean the Fusion Forge repairs damage or restores a shard. If a shattered shard needs restoration, use the Ancestral Forge first; once the weapon has been restored, use the Fusion Forge to optimize its attributes.
Jewels for the same spell
Jewel fusion is more restrictive. Both jewels must serve the same spell. You cannot use a jewel for one spell as a donor for a jewel that casts another spell, even if the attribute on the donor looks useful. Keep multiple candidates for each spell so you can compare their attribute lists before sacrificing one.

Target versus donor: the decision that cannot be undone
The left-right arrangement is the forge’s most important safety rule. The left item survives; the right item disappears. Treat the two slots as target and donor, not as interchangeable ingredients.
- Choose the left slot for the base item you want to keep. For a weapon, consider its weapon type, tier, and current attribute count. For a jewel, consider the spell and the number of attributes already available.
- Choose the right slot for a trait, not for the donor’s base identity. A donor can be valuable because of one attribute even when its weapon type or other properties are irrelevant to your build.
- Inspect the donor before consuming it. Save alternative jewels for the same spell and weapons with exceptional traits until you know which target will benefit most.
- Do not use the donor as the target by accident. Reversing the slots can preserve the wrong weapon or jewel and destroy the item you intended to keep.
How the attribute limit shapes every fusion
The result retains the left item’s original number of attributes. Fusion therefore changes the quality or identity of the traits occupying those slots, but it does not add an unlimited number of new slots.

For example, if the left weapon has two attribute slots and the donor offers a trait you prefer, the finished weapon still has two slots. You can select the donor’s better trait, but you cannot use the operation to turn that weapon into a three- or four-attribute item. The same principle applies to jewels: select the best combination that fits the target’s existing capacity.
This rule makes slot count part of target selection. A target with a useful base and more available slots may be a better left-hand item than a superficially stronger weapon that cannot hold the trait combination you want.
What to craft and what to save
Weapon planning
Prioritize a target weapon that you will actually use, then collect donor weapons with attributes that improve that target. Because weapon fusion is flexible across types and tiers, a donor does not need to match your preferred weapon. A lower-priority weapon can still be worth keeping if it carries a trait that is difficult to replace.
Do not spend every spare Ancestral weapon immediately. Keep donors with distinct or unusually strong attributes until you have checked the full list offered by the forge. The right item is a consumable resource, and using a donor on a target with the wrong slot count can waste the improvement.

Jewel planning
Sort jewel stock by spell before deciding what to fuse. Keep alternatives for the same spell together, compare their attributes, and select the jewel with the preferred base and slot count for the left slot. A jewel for a different spell cannot serve as a substitute donor under the same operation.
Restoration before optimization
If the object you have is a shattered shard that needs to become usable, restore it at the Ancestral Forge first. The Fusion Forge’s role begins after restoration: it refines the attributes on an eligible weapon or jewel and does not create a weapon from the shard or repair the shard by itself.

- Finish the Oakveil progression and defeat Dantos the Forgebinder. Drink his V Blood to obtain the Fusion Forge blueprint and Ember Glass recipe.
- Gather the construction materials. Prepare 1 Primal Blood Essence, 12 Ember Glass, and 16 Dark Silver Ingots.
- Build the forge in a planned room. Use matching Forge Flooring and a properly confined castle room if you expect repeated fusions.
- Restore any shattered weapon first. Use the Ancestral Forge when restoration is required.
- Separate targets from donors. Mark the weapon or jewel you want to preserve and place it on the left; reserve the right slot for the item you are willing to destroy.
- Check compatibility. Use Ancestral weapons for weapon fusion, or two jewels that serve the same spell.
- Compare the attribute list. Verify that the donor offers a meaningful improvement and that the target’s slot count can accommodate your selection.
- Confirm the fusion only after the final review. The right item is consumed and the fuel cost is paid when the operation completes.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Building the station but forgetting fuel
The 12 Ember Glass used in construction does not cover future operations. Keep a separate supply for each completed fusion, or 9 per fusion if the Forge Flooring discount applies.

The forge does not treat the slots equally. The right item is destroyed. If you meant to preserve a weapon or jewel, move it to the left before confirming.
Expecting extra attribute slots
Fusion does not expand the target’s original attribute count. It is a replacement and refinement mechanism, so evaluate whether the target has enough slots for the build before spending a donor.
Trying to mix jewels for different spells
Jewels must serve the same spell. Organize your collection by spell and compare only compatible candidates.
Using the Fusion Forge to repair a shard
A shattered shard requiring restoration belongs in the Ancestral Forge. The Fusion Forge can optimize an eligible weapon after that step, but it is not the restoration station.

Repeated fusions without Forge Flooring cost 12 Ember Glass each and miss the documented speed benefit. If the forge will be part of your regular endgame crafting loop, plan the room before placing the station.
Weapon fusion versus jewel fusion

The same left-target/right-donor rule governs both categories. The meaningful difference is compatibility: weapons offer cross-type donor flexibility, while jewels require the same spell.
Planning Ember Glass for repeated attempts
Count the fusions you can realistically complete before you start. Without the room discount, multiply your planned number of completed fusions by 12 Ember Glass. With Forge Flooring, multiply by 9. The following examples use only the documented per-fusion costs:

These figures cover operating fuel only; they do not include the 12 Ember Glass required to build the station. If you are comparing several donors for one target, inspect and plan your candidates first so that each completed attempt has a clear purpose.
Fusion Forge checklist
- Dantos the Forgebinder defeated and his V Blood consumed.
- Fusion Forge blueprint and Ember Glass recipe unlocked.
- 1 Primal Blood Essence, 12 Ember Glass, and 16 Dark Silver Ingots available for construction.
- Matching Forge Flooring installed if you want the 9-Ember-Glass rate and 25% speed bonus.
- Target item identified for the left slot.
- Donor item identified for the right slot and safe to destroy.
- Weapon inputs confirmed as eligible Ancestral weapons, or jewel inputs confirmed to serve the same spell.
- Any shattered weapon restored at the Ancestral Forge first.
- Target slot count checked before selecting replacement attributes.
- Attribute list reviewed before confirming the operation.
What the Fusion Forge is best for
The station is most valuable when you already have a strong base item and a donor carrying a trait that is better suited to your build. It gives late-game players a controlled way to refine weapons and spell jewels instead of accepting every attribute combination as fixed. Its limits are equally important: it cannot create the item you do not have, cannot restore a shard, cannot add unlimited slots, and cannot merge jewels across different spells.
