Rachel, who posts on TikTok as @hickory_homestead, described opening an envelope addressed to the previous owner of her home. News coverage quoted her describing its contents as “a bag of fake nails. Not new fake nails. Used fake nails.” A small paper inside reportedly bore the name Leah Chantelle and coaching information; coverage describes Chantelle as an intuitive relationship coach.
Rachel reportedly said her fiancé bought the house in 2008 and that the former owner had died 19 years earlier. Those details come from her social-media account as relayed by news outlets, not from an independently verified investigation.
What explanation did the named woman give?
In follow-up reporting, Attack of the Fanboy attributed an explanation to Chantelle in an Instagram message: she said she had leftover fake nails from a previous hobby and wanted to give them away. “It wasn’t my intention to scare anyone,” she was quoted as saying. This is her reported account of why she had the nails; it does not independently establish who addressed or delivered this particular envelope.

How did the envelope reach the house?
The available coverage does not establish who physically placed the envelope, when it was sent, or whether it went through the postal service. BroBible noted that the envelope had a stamp but no visible postmark, leaving open whether it was mailed or left at the property. The reporting also does not confirm why it was addressed to the former homeowner.
Neither cited outlet reports a verified investigation or independently examines the envelope, identities, or timeline. The incident is a story reported from Rachel’s TikTok post, not a confirmed account of a crime or a documented postal mystery.

Do the nails point to a sinister or supernatural motive?
No such motive is established. Online reactions reportedly proposed crime, a marketing stunt, or folk-magic explanations, but these are audience theories. BroBible discussed the idea of personal objects in folk practice; it did not provide evidence that this was the sender’s intent. The only motive attributed to Chantelle in the follow-up report was that she meant the leftover nails as a gift.
