Probably, if your Windows PC meets every item in the minimum tier: 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i3-4130 or AMD FX-8350 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon R9 280 graphics card, and 20 GB of free storage. The recommended tier raises that target to a Core i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 5700, and 24 GB of free storage.
Those are component thresholds from the Steam listing, not a promise of a particular frame rate, resolution, graphics preset, or smoothness. The listing also warns that requirements can change while development continues, so verify the page again when you install or update the game.

Used Cars Simulator requirements at a glance
The Steam store page lists two hardware tiers for Used Cars Simulator. Compare your computer with the minimum column to see whether it reaches the developer’s stated entry point. Compare with recommended only if you want to match the higher hardware target; recommended does not mean a guaranteed frame rate.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i3-4130 at 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 | Intel Core i7-9700 at 3.6 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 at 3.6 GHz |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 280 | Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 |

What “minimum” and “recommended” actually tell you
Minimum is a checklist, not a performance promise
Meeting the minimum list means your PC reaches each threshold the developer published. It does not establish a target resolution, frame rate, graphics preset or loading time. A computer can satisfy the CPU and GPU names yet behave differently because of cooling, background software, laptop power limits, driver state or other hardware.
If one part is below minimum, the listing does not say whether the game will launch, refuse installation or run poorly. Treat that result as unknown rather than assuming that a small shortfall is harmless.
Recommended is the higher listed target
The recommended column is useful for buyers building or choosing a PC because it identifies a substantially stronger CPU, twice the memory and a newer graphics tier. It still is not a benchmark. The Steam page does not connect the recommended parts to a measured frame rate or a specified visual preset.

How to check your Windows PC before installing
Check every component separately. The slowest or missing item is the one that determines whether you meet a complete tier.
1. Confirm the operating-system edition and bitness
- Open Settings from the Windows Start menu.
- Select System, then About.
- Read System type. You need a 64-bit edition of Windows 10 for the listed requirement.
- Check the Windows edition and version shown on the same page. If your PC uses another operating system, the Steam entry does not establish support for it.
You can also type winver in the Start search box to see the installed Windows version. That command confirms the version information; it does not change the game’s stated requirement.
2. Identify the processor
- Press
Ctrl+Shift+Escto open Task Manager. - Choose Performance, then CPU.
- Record the full model name, such as “Intel Core i7-9700” or “AMD Ryzen 5 3600.”
- Compare the model with the minimum and recommended names in the table, not just the reported current clock speed.
Processor families contain many models with similar names. A higher number in a different generation is not automatically equivalent, so use the exact model displayed by Windows when deciding which tier you match.
3. Check installed memory
- In Task Manager, stay on Performance and select Memory.
- Read the total installed memory. The minimum entry is 8 GB; the recommended entry is 16 GB.
- Close large applications before launching the game if your system has little free memory, but do not confuse currently available memory with the installed total.
The requirement is for system RAM. Graphics memory shown on the GPU page is separate and does not replace the listed RAM amount.

- Open Task Manager and select Performance, then each GPU entry.
- Note the exact model name. On a laptop, you may see both integrated and discrete graphics.
- Compare the model that will actually run the game with the GTX 1050 Ti/R9 280 minimum or RTX 3060/RX 5700 recommended tier.
Windows may label an integrated graphics adapter separately from a dedicated card. If both are present, make sure your game settings and Windows graphics preferences select the intended adapter; the Steam listing does not specify how integrated graphics are handled.
Rank #2
- NVIDIA Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors
- 2nd Generation RT Cores
- 3rd Generation Tensor Cores
- Powered by GeForce RTX 3060
- Integrated with 12GB GDDR6 192-bit memory interface
5. Verify free storage
- Open File Explorer and select This PC.
- Check the free-space figure for the drive where you plan to install the game.
- Compare it with 20 GB minimum or 24 GB recommended.
- Leave additional room for Windows updates, shader caches, save data and future game patches rather than filling the drive to its limit.
The store page states available space, not a particular drive type. It does not require an SSD in the published table, although an SSD can be a practical choice for general loading responsiveness.
How each requirement affects your comparison
Operating system: 64-bit Windows 10
Both tiers list the same operating system: 64-bit Windows 10. The page does not state support for Windows 11, Linux, macOS or any other platform, and it does not name a required graphics API or driver version. If you use a different operating system, look for a later compatibility statement before assuming that the Windows specification carries over.
CPU: Core i3-4130/FX-8350 versus Core i7-9700/Ryzen 5 3600
The minimum processors are older four-core-era desktop parts, while the recommended examples are newer mainstream CPUs with a higher listed clock and more capable overall processing resources. The names are examples of the developer’s threshold, not a universal ranking system. A processor from another generation may be faster or slower than one of these models even when its advertised GHz number looks similar.
For a laptop, compare the exact mobile model rather than assuming that an identically named desktop chip performs the same. The listing gives no laptop-specific guidance.
RAM: 8 GB versus 16 GB
Eight gigabytes is the minimum system-memory figure and 16 GB is the recommended figure. Background programs, browser tabs and recording tools consume part of that pool. If your computer has exactly 8 GB, closing unnecessary software can reduce contention, but it does not turn the machine into a 16 GB configuration.
GPU: GTX 1050 Ti/R9 280 versus RTX 3060/RX 5700
The graphics requirement is often the most important check for a driving sandbox because rendering the world, vehicles and effects is handled primarily by the GPU. The minimum examples are a GTX 1050 Ti and Radeon R9 280; the recommended examples are an RTX 3060 and Radeon RX 5700.
Do not infer ray-tracing support, a required VRAM capacity or a target resolution from those names. The Steam entry does not publish any of those details, nor does it provide a benchmark that converts one card into a guaranteed frame rate.
Storage: 20 GB versus 24 GB available
The 20 GB figure is the minimum free space and 24 GB is the recommended free-space figure. These are installation thresholds, not a statement about total disk capacity or future patch size. A drive with only the exact requirement left can run out of room during updates, so keep a buffer when planning the installation.

Use this decision matrix for your own PC
| Your result | What the listing establishes | Practical next step |
|---|---|---|
| Every minimum item met | Your configuration reaches the published minimum tier. | Install only after checking current updates; performance remains unspecified. |
| One or more items below minimum | The page does not establish launch success or playability. | Identify the shortfall and check for an official update before spending money on the game. |
| Every recommended item met | Your configuration matches the developer’s higher listed target. | Expect a stronger starting point than minimum hardware, but do not assign an FPS or preset. |
| CPU, GPU or RAM meets recommended but storage does not | The storage requirement is still unmet for the recommended tier. | Free or add space before installation. |
What the published specifications do not answer
- There is no official resolution or aspect-ratio target.
- No minimum or recommended frame rate is stated.
- No graphics preset, texture setting or quality level is tied to either tier.
- No benchmark results or performance guarantee are provided.
- The page does not specify a graphics API, driver version or required peripheral.
- It does not explain how the game behaves on integrated graphics, laptop hardware or operating systems other than 64-bit Windows 10.
That missing information matters when deciding whether to upgrade. A recommended GPU can still produce a different experience in a compact laptop than in a well-cooled desktop, and the store requirements alone cannot quantify the difference.
If your PC is close but not an exact match
Below on RAM
Adding memory is usually a system-level change rather than a game setting. Confirm that your motherboard or laptop supports the desired capacity before buying modules. Until then, close browsers, launchers and overlays to reduce background use, but treat an 8 GB machine as the minimum configuration rather than a recommended one.
Below on graphics
On a desktop, a graphics-card upgrade also involves power supply capacity, case clearance and connector requirements. On most laptops, the internal GPU is not replaceable, so the realistic choices are using another computer or waiting for an official performance update. The listed requirements do not identify a cheaper substitute card.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBelow on processor
Desktop CPU upgrades can require a compatible motherboard socket, firmware support and sometimes new memory. A higher clock speed alone does not prove equivalence. Compare the exact model and platform before purchasing parts.
Short on storage
Free space is the simplest threshold to fix: remove unused files, choose another internal drive or install on an additional drive with at least the required capacity. Keep extra room for updates instead of targeting exactly 20 or 24 GB.
Basic troubleshooting after installation
If the game does not start or behaves unexpectedly, record the symptoms before changing several variables at once.
- Confirm that Windows reports a 64-bit installation and that the game is using the intended GPU.
- Update Windows and your graphics driver through the manufacturer’s normal support channel.
- Close overlays, capture tools and unnecessary background applications, then restart the PC.
- Use Steam’s installed-file verification option if the launcher reports damaged or missing files.
- Check free storage again after installation; a nearly full drive can prevent updates.
- If the problem persists, consult the game’s current Steam announcements and support discussions for version-specific guidance.
These steps can remove common configuration problems, but they cannot turn hardware below the published minimum into a supported configuration. Likewise, meeting recommended parts does not guarantee a particular visual result.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Release date and changing requirements
The Steam listing identifies October 9, 2026 as the release date. Because the same page says, “System Requirements subject to change as development continues,” treat the table as the current published snapshot rather than a permanent specification. Recheck the store entry after major updates or before buying new hardware.
Bottom line for your PC
Your PC reaches the stated minimum only when all five checks pass: 64-bit Windows 10, one of the listed minimum CPUs, at least 8 GB of RAM, one of the listed minimum GPUs and 20 GB of free storage. Matching every recommended item gives you the developer’s stronger target—16 GB RAM, a Core i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600, an RTX 3060 or RX 5700 and 24 GB free—but still no published FPS or settings guarantee. If any component falls short, the official page leaves the outcome uncertain, so verify newer requirements before purchasing or upgrading.
