The outlet called it the phone’s lowest-ever price, but that is a dated deal report, not a verified price-history record or a guarantee the offer is still available. Check the PC Guide deal report and confirm Amazon’s live listing before buying.
What the reported Galaxy A57 deal includes
The deal described by PC Guide is for an unlocked Samsung Galaxy A57 5G (2026), U.S. version, with 128GB of storage. PC Guide’s price check was dated October 6, 2026; its article was updated October 7 and says prices and savings can change. The $400 price and $200 reduction from Amazon’s list price should therefore be treated as the outlet’s report, not a live quote.

Display and cameras
The reported 6.7-inch, 120Hz AMOLED Plus screen is the clearest everyday draw for people who watch video, browse, or prefer smoother scrolling. A three-camera rear setup gives you main, ultrawide, and close-up macro options; PC Guide also names Nightography and Low Noise modes. Those labels and resolution figures do not establish real-world image quality, so avoid treating camera counts or modes as a guarantee of results.
Software support and performance
PC Guide says Samsung promises six operating-system updates and six years of security updates. That is a substantial support commitment if applied to the purchased model as described, but check Samsung’s terms for the exact regional variant and how the update period is counted.

PC Guide characterizes the Exynos 1680 as mid-range and cautions that the phone is not intended to match Samsung’s premium models for demanding performance or continuous multitasking. The report provides no benchmark comparisons. For routine phone use, the deal may be more compelling than it is for sustained gaming or heavy workloads; the available evidence does not quantify performance for either.
Is $400 a good reason to buy now?
The reported discount may be worth checking if you want an unlocked 128GB Android phone with a large high-refresh-rate display and the stated support commitment. But the “lowest-ever” label is PC Guide’s description: its article does not show a historical price series or explain a method for verifying an all-time low. Consider the $400 figure a time-sensitive lead, not proof that no lower price has ever existed.

- Verify carrier fit: “unlocked” does not guarantee compatibility with every carrier or network band. Check the exact model against your carrier and location.
- Match the phone to your workload: the cited report describes a mid-range processor and offers no benchmarks, so buyers with demanding gaming or multitasking needs should seek independent performance testing before deciding.
What the “lowest-ever” claim does—and does not—tell you
The claim tells you that PC Guide regarded $400 as the lowest price it had identified for this offer when reporting it. It does not establish that Amazon still lists the phone at that price, that the promotion remains active, or that a comprehensive market-wide price history supports an all-time record. The same article warns that prices and savings can change.
PC Guide may earn a commission from purchases through links in its article. That disclosure does not change the need to check the listing’s current price and terms directly.
