If your Samsung 7 Series TV supports Bluetooth audio, put the speaker into pairing mode, then go to Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List on the TV and select the speaker. The menu path varies by model and region, and Samsung states that Bluetooth audio is not available on every TV, so the first step is confirming your exact model supports it.
First, confirm your TV supports Bluetooth audio
“Samsung 7 Series” is a product line name that covers several TV models, so the name alone does not tell you whether Bluetooth audio is available. Samsung’s e-Manual for the QN75Q70TAFXZA, a Q70T-series model, states “You can connect Bluetooth audio devices to the TV,” and the same manual notes that support may vary by model. The manual is at Samsung’s QN75Q70TAFXZA e-Manual, and it describes one model, not every 7 Series TV.

Two checks settle the question for your set:
- Look for the Bluetooth Speaker List. Open the Sound Output menu. Samsung US describes this entry as the sign that the TV supports Bluetooth audio. If it is there, you can proceed.
- If the entry is missing, check your model. Find the model code on the back of the TV or on the box, then read the user manual for that exact model and your region. Menu names can differ, and a missing entry means the TV does not offer this connection through the standard menu.
Pair the speaker and connect it
- Put the speaker into Bluetooth pairing mode. The method differs by manufacturer, so use the speaker’s manual. The TV only searches for devices that are discoverable.
- Open the TV’s Sound Output menu. Use the path that matches your region (see the table below).
- Select your speaker from the Bluetooth Speaker List and follow any on-screen prompt.
- Play something to confirm the output. Expected result: the TV and speaker are paired and TV audio plays through the speaker.
Menu paths by region
| Source | Menu path | Scope stated |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung US support | Home > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List | Most Samsung TVs, per Samsung US |
| Samsung UK support (updated 19 June 2026) | Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List | 2016-present TVs, per Samsung UK |
When the speaker does not appear
The speaker is missing from the list
Move the speaker closer to the TV, make sure it is still in pairing mode, and select Refresh. Samsung’s e-Manual for the QN75Q70TAFXZA recommends this when a Bluetooth audio device is not detected. If the list still shows nothing, return to the model check above.

The speaker is already connected to another device
A speaker paired to a phone or laptop may not be visible to the TV. Disconnect it from the other device, or use the speaker’s manual to clear its pairing and restart it, then search again. Samsung’s cited pages point to the speaker manual for pairing instructions, so that is the reliable source for these steps.

The speaker pairs but audio is unreliable
Reduce the distance between the TV and speaker and move away from walls or other sources of interference. Samsung lists distance and interference from devices on the same frequency as possible causes of disconnection or malfunction.
What Bluetooth audio cannot do
- One device at a time. Samsung US states, “You can only pair one Bluetooth audio device at a time.” A second speaker or headset cannot be added while the first is paired.
- No simultaneous use with Wi-Fi audio features. Samsung US says Bluetooth cannot be used at the same time as Wi-Fi Speaker Surround Setup or TV SoundConnect.
- Lip-sync errors. Samsung warns that Bluetooth audio can produce a mismatch between picture and sound.
- Compatibility problems and disconnections. Samsung notes that some devices may not work well with the TV, and that the connection can drop.
Choosing between Bluetooth and other audio connections
Samsung’s US support says a Wi-Fi or wired connection may be preferable when the TV and audio device both support it, particularly if synchronization or connection stability matters more than avoiding cables. The table compares the options as Samsung describes them. Where the source does not state a trade-off, the cell says so.

The sources do not establish that one connection is best for every 7 Series model or speaker. Confirm the ports on your TV and the inputs on your speaker before buying any cable or device.

Samsung US suggests an adapter connected to the TV’s 3.5 mm audio output or standard left/right AUX output. Samsung UK states that USB Bluetooth transmitter/receivers are not supported. Before buying an adapter:

- Check that the TV has a 3.5 mm or left/right AUX audio output. Confirm this on the actual set rather than assuming it.
- Confirm the adapter is a transmitter that sends TV sound to a speaker, not a receiver that takes sound in.
- Do not assume a USB-only Bluetooth dongle will work, because Samsung UK says these are unsupported.
Wired options, such as optical or HDMI ARC, are often the more predictable route if the TV has the port and the speaker or soundbar accepts the same connection.
