They contain different Uncharted games, not alternate editions of the same ones. The Nathan Drake Collection brings together the first three mainline campaigns; Legacy of Thieves Collection contains the later adventures Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. For the full story in release order, play The Nathan Drake Collection first, then Legacy of Thieves.
What games are in each collection?
| Collection | Included single-player campaigns | Platforms | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| UNCHARTED: The Nathan Drake Collection | Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake’s Deception | PS4; playable on PS5 subject to PlayStation’s compatibility notes | Players starting Nathan Drake’s mainline story or looking for the original trilogy |
| UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection | Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy | PS5 and PC | Players looking for the later adventures, including Chloe Frazer’s standalone story |
The lineups do not overlap: neither collection includes the campaigns bundled in the other. PlayStation describes The Nathan Drake Collection as three remastered PS4 games. Legacy of Thieves is the remastered release of its two included games for PS5 and PC. That describes their intended releases, not a like-for-like graphics comparison across platforms.
