1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe UGREEN NASync DXP4800 GT is a four-bay, diskless NAS built around an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 and two 10GbE ports. Its strongest case is for creators, home-lab users, and small teams with several fast clients or workloads such as containers and virtual machines. But the network ports only pay off with compatible networking and sufficiently fast storage, and its standard 8GB of RAM and lack of full-volume encryption are meaningful tradeoffs.
What the DXP4800 GT includes
This is a distinct model in UGREEN’s NASync range, not simply a refreshed DXP4800. UGREEN lists an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor with 4 cores and 8 threads, four SATA drive bays, two M.2 NVMe slots, and dual 10GbE ports. The first two drive bays also support U.2 SSDs. UGREEN advertises up to 144TB of capacity; that is a manufacturer-stated maximum configuration, not a guarantee of usable capacity after RAID or filesystem overhead.

The NAS is sold without drives. You need to buy compatible storage separately and should check UGREEN’s drive compatibility list before choosing disks. UGREEN’s specifications and diskless status are on its DXP4800 GT product listing.
How useful are the two 10GbE ports?
Two 10GbE interfaces are the GT’s defining advantage over more conventional home and small-office NAS hardware. UGREEN describes support for link aggregation up to 20Gbps. Aggregation can help when multiple clients access the NAS, but it does not make one ordinary 1GbE computer transfer data at 20Gbps. The client network adapters, switch, storage drives, and workload all constrain real throughput.

- 【High-Performance Multitasking for Speed & Endurance】Powered by AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514, 4 cores, 8 threads, and up to 3.70GHz, with 8GB DDR4 RAM expandable to 64GB, DXP4800 GT handles backups, media processing, Docker apps, and multi-user workloads smoothly. Dual 10GbE networking and high-speed SSD expansion deliver fast transfers, stable streaming, rapid backups, and local-like 4K/8K editing directly from the NAS.
- 【UGOS Pro with Expandable Media & App Ecosystem】UGOS Pro makes NAS management simple with guided setup, a clean interface, and helpful on-screen tips. Beyond files, photos, backup, and search, it supports Docker, virtual machines, and SAN Manager, letting users expand into Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, Home Assistant, web hosting, and other self-hosted workflows—all managed through the UGREEN NAS app across phone, tablet, computer, and TV.
- 【Surveillance Center Built-In】Connect compatible IP cameras to DXP4800 GT and turn your NAS into both the storage drive and control center for home or small-business security. UGREEN Surveillance Center only supports ONVIF/RTSP cameras, live multi-view, PTZ control, event detection, recording, and timeline playback from one NAS-based platform. Footage stays stored locally, so you can review, manage, and share access without separate camera apps or cloud subscriptions.
- 【USB & SD Instant Backup】Built-in SD card slot lets creators import photos and videos without an external card reader. Simply insert an SD card into the NAS, open the UGREEN NAS app, and copy or back up files to your selected folder in just a few clicks. Combined with USB-A 10Gbps, USB-C 10Gbps, USB 2.0, and 4K HDMI connectivity, DXP4800 GT helps you quickly transfer camera footage, media assets, or surveillance files—saving time and simplifying your workflow without relying on a computer.
- 【Local Privacy, Pro-Grade Security】Store files locally on DXP4800 GT instead of third-party cloud servers, with local account mode for LAN-only access when needed. TLS/SSL, RSA, AES, and SHA-512 help secure logins and data transfers, while Security Manager, and flexible permissions provide continuous protection. RAID support adds data redundancy to help reduce the risk of data loss and improve file recovery in the event of drive failure.
In practical terms, the dual ports are most compelling if you already have—or plan to install—a 10GbE switch and compatible network interfaces. A single slower client, SATA disks unable to sustain the link, or a network bottleneck can leave much of the interface capacity unused. PCWorld also notes link aggregation and an advantage over the DXP4800 Plus when multiple clients are active; this is a conditional benefit, not a promise that every transfer will approach line rate.
Performance, memory, and expansion
PCWorld’s review describes the Ryzen Embedded R2514 as suitable for containers and a virtual machine without unreasonable power use, and says UGOS Pro runs smoothly. Those are that publication’s review judgments, not independent benchmark results for this article. Its review also highlights Docker, virtual machines, and AI photo search among UGOS Pro’s capabilities.

- AI-Powered Photo Album: Automatically organizes your photos by recognizing faces, scenes, objects, and locations. It can also instantly remove duplicates, freeing up storage space and saving you time.
The standard memory configuration is a modest 8GB of DDR4, which PCWorld reports can be upgraded to 64GB. PCWorld also lists ECC support. TechRadar reports its test unit had 8GB of single-channel DDR4 and could be expanded to 64GB; that describes its reviewed configuration, not necessarily every retail bundle. If you expect to run several containers or virtual machines, budget for a memory upgrade rather than assuming the base configuration is ample.
Storage expansion is unusually flexible for a four-bay NAS: in addition to four SATA bays and two M.2 NVMe slots, UGREEN says bays one and two accept U.2 SSDs. TechRadar reports the M.2 slots are Gen3 x2. These options broaden the possible storage mix, but the right configuration depends on capacity, workload, and the drives’ compatibility.

Security and software tradeoffs
PCWorld lists the absence of full-volume encryption as a con. That matters if your security requirements specifically call for whole-volume encryption, so confirm the available protection meets your needs before storing sensitive data. The finding does not establish that the NAS has no encryption features of any kind.
UGOS Pro’s Docker and virtual-machine support makes the GT more than a basic file server, while AI photo search may appeal to users organizing a large library. Those software features add flexibility, but do not remove the need to plan backups, permissions, and a security approach appropriate to the data you store.

How it compares with the DXP4800 Plus and Pro
The GT’s clearest point of separation is its processor and dual 10GbE setup. Android Central identifies the Plus with an Intel Pentium Gold 8505, the Pro with an Intel Core i3-1315U, and the GT with the AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514. The models should be compared on the whole configuration—not processor names alone—including networking, memory, U.2 support, system storage, encryption needs, and the cost of drives and network upgrades.

Free up phones and computers, stop relying on scattered external drives, and say goodbye to “storage full” stress. Drives not included. Purchase HDDs/SSDs from a third party.
Who should consider the DXP4800 GT?
- Good fit: A creator or small team with multiple fast clients, compatible 10GbE infrastructure, and a need for shared storage or heavier NAS applications.
- Potential fit with upgrades: A home-lab user planning containers or virtual machines who is willing to expand beyond the included 8GB of RAM.
- Less compelling: A buyer whose clients and network are limited to 1GbE, or who wants a ready-to-use NAS with drives included.
- Check first: An organization that requires full-volume encryption should verify its security requirements against UGOS Pro’s documented capabilities before purchase.
PCWorld’s September 22, 2026 review called the product “This Ryzen NAS makes 10GbE affordable.” That headline captures the appeal, but affordability is relative: the diskless unit is only part of the total cost, and a 10GbE setup may require compatible switches and client adapters as well as drives.
