TechRadar reported on September 30, 2026, that Amazon US listed the UGREEN NASync DXP4800 GT for $559.99, down from $659.99—a $100 reduction. The price is time-sensitive, so check the deal listing and Amazon before buying. TechRadar’s five-star rating is that publication’s editorial review score, not a customer-review average.
What the DXP4800 GT offers
UGREEN describes the DXP4800 GT as a four-bay SATA NAS built around an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514. Its listed configuration includes 8GB of DDR4 memory, expandable to 64GB, ODECC support, two M.2 slots, and two 10GbE RJ45 ports. UGREEN states a maximum capacity of 144TB; that is a maker-listed maximum, not usable capacity after RAID, filesystem overhead, and drive configuration.

In its June 8, 2026 review, TechRadar reported testing the NAS with four 4TB Seagate IronWolf drives and two 1TB SSDs. The reviewer edited 500GB of footage drawn from two hours of material into a seven-minute production in Final Cut Pro X over SMB on a 10GbE connection, reporting no dropped frames or slowdown. That is one reviewer’s result with that equipment and workflow, not a general performance guarantee.

- 【Local Privacy, Pro-Grade Security】Store files locally on DXP4800 GT instead of third-party cloud servers, with local account mode for LAN-only access when needed. TLS/SSL, RSA, AES, and SHA-512 help secure logins and data transfers, while Security Manager, and flexible permissions provide continuous protection. RAID support adds data redundancy to help reduce the risk of data loss and improve file recovery in the event of drive failure.
TechRadar reviewer Alastair called it “an excellent choice for smaller studios, offices and homes” seeking dual 10GbE. That is an editorial opinion; whether the NAS is a fit depends on the buyer’s workload and network. The full hands-on review provides the test context and setup considerations.
Who should consider it
The strongest fit is a small business, studio, or creative professional who needs centralized storage for large files, backups, media libraries, or multi-user access—and can make practical use of four drive bays and fast wired networking. A 10GbE port helps only when the rest of the network path, including the client and any switch, supports the connection. A 10GbE switch may add cost if you do not already have suitable networking.

Plan the complete setup, not just the NAS purchase. The bays need compatible storage drives, and the right capacity and drive choice depend on workload, noise tolerance, backup plan, and budget. Memory and M.2 SSD expansion are optional; check UGREEN’s current compatibility information and manual before selecting third-party parts.

Not automatically. Compare the new unit with your current NAS against the work you actually do: bay count and drive type, network ports and compatible clients or switches, processor and memory, SSD or memory expansion, RAID options, software needs, and the total cost of drives and networking. Include the time and effort of migrating data and configuring the replacement. If your existing NAS already meets your performance and capacity needs, the listing price alone does not establish a reason to upgrade.
