UFC 312 was Dricus Du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland 2. The Pereira–Ankalaev event was promoted for March 8, 2025, while UFC 312 took place on February 8, 2025 (U.S. broadcast date).
This guide separates the two events, explains the original U.S. broadcast arrangements, lists the verified UFC 312 card and analyzes the Pereira–Ankalaev matchup without presenting an unverified UFC 313 bout list.

The UFC’s event page identifies UFC 312 as Du Plessis–Strickland 2: official UFC 312 event page. UFC’s promotional material identifies Pereira–Ankalaev as UFC 313 and gives the promoted date of March 8, 2025: official UFC promotional video.

How UFC 312 was broadcast in the United States
These are the original U.S. listings for UFC 312. They describe the live distribution in 2025, not a guarantee of what a service includes in its 2026 replay catalog.
| Card segment | Original U.S. outlet | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Early prelims | UFC Fight Pass; another official UFC listing also named ESPN+ and Disney+ | Check the event listing and your account’s market before assuming access. |
| Prelims | ESPN2 and ESPN+ | ESPN2 required access through a participating television package; ESPN+ access was separate from the PPV purchase. |
| Main card | ESPN+ pay-per-view | An ESPN+ subscription and the PPV purchase were distinct requirements. |
UFC’s event listing provides the U.S. platform breakdown at ufc.com/event/ufc-312. Its market-by-market watch guide explains that international broadcasters differ and directs viewers outside listed territories to check UFC Fight Pass availability: UFC’s watch guide.
Subscription versus pay-per-view
- ESPN+ subscription: provides the streaming platform, but does not by itself mean the UFC 312 main-card PPV was included.
- PPV purchase: was required for the U.S. main card in addition to the platform subscription.
- UFC Fight Pass: was listed for early prelims and is useful for selected archives, but it should not be treated as an automatic substitute for a U.S. PPV.
Replay and international access
Because UFC 312 and UFC 313 are 2025 events, use the provider’s current event page to determine whether a replay is still offered, whether it is a full event or highlights, and whether your country has the same rights. Prices and replay policies can change; no current 2026 price is stated here.
How to watch Pereira vs. Ankalaev (UFC 313)
Pereira–Ankalaev belongs to UFC 313. The available official promotion points U.S. viewers toward ESPN+ PPV, but it does not provide enough information to reconstruct every card segment or today’s replay policy. Treat any page that labels the fight “UFC 312” as a mixed-up listing.
- For a replay, search the official UFC event archive for UFC 313 and confirm that Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev is the listed headliner.
- For U.S. access, check the current ESPN+ UFC purchase or replay page rather than relying on a 2025 checkout link.
- Outside the United States, use the UFC watch guide or the broadcaster listed for your country; ESPN+ instructions are not global.
- Avoid unauthorized “free streams,” which can be illegal, unsafe and removed without notice.
The official UFC archive is the best place to confirm event identity and completed results: UFC event archive. UFC Fight Pass information is available at ufc.com/fightpass, but catalog availability varies by market and event.

UFC 312 start times and date qualification
The UFC 312 event page listed the U.S. schedule as early prelims at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, prelims at 8 p.m. Eastern and the main card at 10 p.m. Eastern. The weigh-in article used 6 p.m. Eastern (3 p.m. Pacific) for the early prelims. Because those official listings conflict, treat the early-prelim start as approximate and verify the archived schedule before planning a replay or watch party.
The event was held at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney Olympic Park, Australia. February 8, 2025 is the appropriate U.S. broadcast date based on the dated UFC weigh-in article; the UFC event page also contains a stale “February 8, 2024” metadata reference.

Can Pereira keep kickboxing range?
Pereira’s danger rises when he has room to set his stance, attack the legs and draw entries into his left hook or other counters. The question is not simply whether he can land one spectacular shot; it is whether he can repeatedly make Ankalaev cross open space under threat.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteCan Ankalaev make the exchanges awkward?
Ankalaev’s clearest alternative is to reduce clean striking time with clinch pressure, cage positioning and takedown attempts. Steering Pereira toward the fence can limit the champion’s preferred distance, although prolonged entries expose Ankalaev to counters if the shot is predictable.
What follows the first failed takedown?
A missed attempt can give Pereira a countering window, but repeated attempts can also force Pereira to defend, hand-fight and spend energy. The tactical swing depends on whether Ankalaev exits safely or remains in the pocket after the attempt.
Who controls the Octagon geography?
Pereira benefits from open space for long-range attacks. Ankalaev’s success may depend on cutting the cage rather than chasing, then holding exchanges where Pereira has less room to kick and reset.
How does the southpaw-versus-orthodox matchup matter?
Open-stance positioning changes the lead-foot battle, rear-hand lanes and exposure to low kicks. Those mechanics create opportunities, not guarantees; foot position only matters if a fighter can maintain it while defending pressure.

Can Pereira sustain five-round damage?
Knockout power is different from round-winning consistency. Pereira needed enough repeatable offense to win minutes, while avoiding the defensive fatigue that can follow prolonged wrestling exchanges.
Can Ankalaev stay safe without becoming passive?
A conservative plan may reduce Pereira’s counter opportunities, but judges can favor the fighter whose visible damage and initiative define close rounds. Ankalaev therefore had to balance risk control with enough offense to make the scoring unmistakable.

Du Plessis vs. Strickland 2
The official UFC event page records Du Plessis winning the five-round rematch by unanimous decision. The matchup centered on Du Plessis’s pressure, grappling transitions and irregular striking rhythm against Strickland’s jab, straight-line pressure and defensive shell. In a title fight, judges weigh effective damage and control across each round, so late momentum cannot automatically erase earlier lost minutes.
Zhang Weili vs. Tatiana Suarez
The co-main event paired Zhang’s layered striking, scrambling and submission awareness with Suarez’s wrestling and top-control game. Zhang could not be treated as only a striker: defending takedowns and threatening submissions are part of her grappling profile. Suarez’s key task was to secure and retain dominant positions long enough for control to become meaningful rather than merely attempting takedowns.
