Crypto Briefing, republished by TradingView, reports that government-linked wallets transferred 833.6 BTC and 40,285 BNB over nine hours on October 7, 2026. The outlet estimated the assets were worth about $103 million combined at the time. The reported routes show where the assets moved, but neither an exchange destination nor an unlabeled wallet proves they were sold.
What moved and where it went
The reported transfers involved two different assets and routes. The quantities and dollar values below are Crypto Briefing estimates reported at the time of transfer, not current prices or independently verified valuations.

The combined estimate was about $103 million. Crypto Briefing’s report attributes the transfer details to on-chain analysts; the movement has not been explained in an official government statement. TradingView’s republication of Crypto Briefing and LeoDex’s summary describe the reported transfers.

Blockchain records can show that assets moved between addresses, but a transfer alone does not establish what happened afterward or why it occurred. Coinbase Prime is Coinbase’s institutional custody and trading arm, according to the report; receipt there does not show that a trade was executed. The BNB’s final address is unlabeled, which means its owner and purpose are not identified in the reported information.

The report presents custody or consolidation as a possible interpretation. That is analysis, not a confirmed government explanation. The available coverage does not establish that the assets were sold, that a sale was planned, or what specific case or legal proceeding might be connected to the BNB.
How the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve order fits—and what it cannot tell us
A March 6, 2025 White House executive order established a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve for qualifying BTC that has been finally forfeited to the government, as well as a separate United States Digital Asset Stockpile for other finally forfeited digital assets. It says BTC deposited into the reserve shall not be sold. The order also provides for discretionary stewardship of other stockpile assets and sets out legal exceptions to the general restriction on disposing of government digital assets. The reporting on the October 7 transfers does not identify the legal status of these particular BTC or BNB or establish that the BTC had been deposited into the reserve. The order therefore cannot, on its own, show which provisions apply to these assets or explain why they moved. Its reserve rule is policy context, not confirmation of the transfer’s purpose.
