How to use the sites to choose a TV
Start with your room and viewing habits
Decide where the TV will go, how large a screen fits, and what you watch or play most. LG’s guide explicitly organizes its advice around room, size, display type, resolution, and use case. A site’s recommendation is only useful if it fits those conditions.

Match display and motion features to the room
TechRadar’s guide contrasts OLED’s strong contrast with the brightness advantages it describes for LED and Mini LED sets in brighter rooms. For gaming or motion-sensitive viewing, refresh rate may matter, but check the exact model’s supported inputs and refresh modes rather than relying on a headline specification alone. Higher refresh features can also add cost.

Use review and comparison sites to examine performance across models, then confirm the full model number and suffix for your country. Regional versions can differ, and a review may cover a variant that is not sold where you live. Recheck the publication date, current local price, stock, and whether the recommendation has been updated.

Consider sound and installation only if you need them
Built-in audio and installation needs vary. A soundbar may help if the TV’s sound does not meet your needs; a wall mount is relevant if you plan to mount the set. Neither is an automatic requirement—decide based on the room, sound expectations, and installation plan.
When another source may help
Consumer Reports can be an additional reference for readers interested in brand ratings and reliability-oriented consumer testing. Its 2026 best-brand article appeared in search results, but detailed methodology and current contents should be verified on the live page before using its conclusions.

Use manufacturer guides to understand a maker’s own product categories and setup advice. Use independent review sites for cross-brand comparisons, and treat editorial lists as starting points rather than proof that one TV suits every budget, room, or use.
