ttusbacc.dll is a legacy application DLL used by TT-DVB USB software from TechnoTrend AG. If Windows says ttusbacc.dll is missing, was not found, or could not be loaded, repair the original TT-DVB USB installation before trying general Windows repairs.
The file is not a normal Windows component, Microsoft runtime, DirectX file, or .NET assembly. The safest fix is to restore the matching TechnoTrend application and driver package for the exact DVB USB device.
What is ttusbacc.dll?
Public file metadata identifies ttusbacc.dll as the “Control and streaming DLL for TT-DVB USB devices.” It is associated with TechnoTrend AG and the TT-DVB USB product family.
That generally means the DLL belongs beside the old TV-viewing application or within its installation directory. It should not normally be copied into C:WindowsSystem32 or C:WindowsSysWOW64.

Some public metadata records list version 1.7.5.0, a file size of approximately 256 KB, and Win32 or 32-bit architecture. These are legacy metadata listings rather than details confirmed by a current TechnoTrend release. Use them only as identification clues, not as a reason to download a matching file from an unofficial source.

The filename alone cannot identify the exact program displaying the error. It may be an old TechnoTrend TV application, a viewer bundled with a receiver, a startup component, or an installer left behind after the main software was removed.
Why the error appears
The usual causes are:
- The TT-DVB USB application was incompletely uninstalled or damaged.
- A disk cleaner or backup restore removed the DLL.
- Antivirus software quarantined the file.
- The application is being launched from an old shortcut.
- The DLL is present, but another dependency required by it is missing.
- A Windows upgrade left the old application or driver incompatible.
- The installed software is 32-bit and is being paired with an incorrect file.
- The original device driver is missing or no longer works on the current Windows release.
Messages commonly associated with this type of failure include:
- “The program can’t start because ttusbacc.dll is missing from your computer.”
- “This application failed to start because ttusbacc.dll was not found.”
- “Failed to load ttusbacc.dll.”
- “Error loading ttusbacc.dll. The specified module could not be found.”
- “The file ttusbacc.dll is missing or corrupted.”
“Specified module could not be found” does not always mean that ttusbacc.dll itself is absent. Windows can show that message when a dependency used by the DLL cannot be loaded.

Do not begin by downloading the DLL. First find which application is requesting it.
Check the error window
Note the application name in the title bar or in the text around the error. If the message appears while opening a TV viewer, device utility, or TechnoTrend shortcut, that program is the likely parent.
Check the shortcut
- Right-click the shortcut that produces the error.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Shortcut tab.
- Read the Target field and the Start in field.
- Note the program folder shown there.
- Select Cancel without changing the shortcut.
If the target points to an old drive, a removed folder, or an uninstalled application, the problem may be an orphaned shortcut rather than a current Windows installation problem.
Check installed applications
On Windows 11:
- Open Start > Settings.
- Select Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for TechnoTrend, TT-DVB, or the name of the TV software.
- Select the three-dot menu beside the program.
- Choose Advanced options if available.
On Windows 10:
- Open Start > Settings.
- Select Apps > Apps & features.
- Search for TechnoTrend, TT-DVB, or the bundled TV application.
If no matching program is listed, look for the original driver CD, backed-up installer, or a model-specific package supplied by the hardware vendor. No current official TechnoTrend download containing this exact DLL could be verified, so avoid assuming that a generic modern driver will work.

- Connect via USB
Try the Windows repair option
- Close the TV application and disconnect the USB receiver.
- Open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps on Windows 11.
- Find the TechnoTrend or TT-DVB application.
- Select the three-dot menu.
- Choose Advanced options.
- Select Repair, if available.
- Restart Windows.
- Reconnect the receiver and launch the application.
Windows 10 may provide a Repair option through Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- Select the TechnoTrend or TV application.
- Choose Repair or Change, if offered.
- Follow the installer prompts.
- Restart the computer.
A successful repair should restore the DLL to the program’s own folder and allow the parent application to open. If the repair completes but the same message returns, continue with a full reinstall.
Reinstall from trusted original media
- Disconnect the TT-DVB USB device.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Uninstall the TechnoTrend or related TV application.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the original installer from the manufacturer’s CD, backed-up installer, or a model-specific archive supplied by the device vendor.
- Install the driver and application as a matching package.
- Restart Windows again.
- Connect the receiver only when the installer requests it, or after setup finishes.
- Test the application from its newly created Start menu shortcut.
Use the exact hardware model. TT-DVB USB products may require different drivers or bundled applications, and installing a package for another receiver can leave the DLL present but unusable.
Recommended Free Tools
If the installer fails, right-click its setup file, select Properties, open Compatibility, and use Run this program as an administrator. Compatibility mode can be tested afterward, but it is not a substitute for the correct driver.
Confirm that the file is in the correct location
After reinstalling:
- Right-click the application shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- Choose Open File Location, if available.
- Look for
ttusbacc.dllin the same folder as the application executable or in a nearby program subfolder. - Do not move it to a Windows system directory.
If the file is restored but the application still reports an error, the issue may be a missing dependency, an incompatible driver, or a damaged installation rather than the filename itself.
Fix 2: Check Windows Security quarantine
Security software may remove or quarantine an old DLL, especially when the original installer is obsolete or lacks modern signing information. Do not automatically restore it just because the application needs it.
- Open Start.
- Search for Windows Security.
- Open Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Expand any event involving the TechnoTrend application or
ttusbacc.dll. - Check the file path and detection details.
- Restore or allow the file only if it came from your verified original installer or trusted vendor archive.
- Run a scan on the installer before reinstalling.
- Repeat the TT-DVB USB repair or installation.
Microsoft notes that Protection History does not retain events indefinitely. If the quarantine event is no longer listed, reinstall from trusted media rather than trying to retrieve an unknown copy.

Fix 3: Check the 32-bit application and dependency path
Public metadata identifies ttusbacc.dll as Win32 or 32-bit, although an official binary inspection was not verified. A 32-bit application can run on 64-bit Windows, but it still needs compatible 32-bit DLL dependencies.

Do not solve this by copying files between System32 and SysWOW64. Despite the confusing names, Windows uses those directories for different architecture roles, and global DLL placement can create conflicts.
Instead:
- Locate the executable that displays the error.
- Right-click it and select Properties.
- Open the Compatibility tab.
- Try Run this program as an administrator.
- If necessary, select Run this program in compatibility mode for and test the Windows version closest to the software’s original release.
- Select Apply, then OK.
- Launch the application again.
If the message changes from “missing” to “not designed to run on Windows” or another load error, the DLL may now be found but incompatible. Reinstall the complete application and driver package instead of replacing individual files.
Do not install Visual C++, DirectX, or .NET packages at random. ttusbacc.dll is not identified as one of those components. Install an additional runtime only when the application’s own installer or a separate error message identifies that exact dependency.
Fix 4: Update or reinstall the device driver
The DLL may be present while the USB receiver driver is missing or incompatible.
- Disconnect other unnecessary USB devices.
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Also check Universal Serial Bus controllers, Other devices, and Unknown devices.
- Look for TechnoTrend, TT-DVB, a TV receiver, or a device with a warning icon.
- Right-click the relevant device.
- Choose Properties.
- Open the General tab and read Device status.
- Open the Driver tab to see the provider and installed date.
- Select Uninstall Device only when you have the correct replacement installer ready.
- Restart Windows.
- Install the driver package matching the exact receiver model.
- Reconnect the device and check Device Manager again.
A successful driver installation should remove the warning icon and show the receiver under an appropriate device category. The TV application should then be able to open its streaming component.
For manual updates, download only from the hardware vendor, the original media, or a verified model-specific archive. Do not use a driver intended for a different TechnoTrend receiver.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhen manually hunting through old driver packages, Outbyte Driver Updater can scan for outdated drivers and show what needs attention; its free scan identifies the issue, while the full version performs the driver installation. Reinstalling the exact TT-DVB USB package remains the definitive fix when the application needs this specific DLL.
Windows 10 or Windows 11 compatibility must be established for the exact receiver, driver, and application. The presence of a working DLL does not prove that the old hardware is supported by your current Windows release.
Fix 5: Repair Windows components only if other programs are also failing
Because ttusbacc.dll is a third-party application file, Windows component repair is not the primary fix. Use it when other Windows programs also report missing or corrupted files, or when broader system corruption is suspected.
First install pending Windows updates:
- Open Start > Settings.
- Select Windows Update.
- Choose Check for updates.
- Install available updates.
- Restart the computer.
Then run DISM followed by SFC.
- Open Start.
- Search for Command Prompt.
- Right-click it.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Enter this command:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- Wait for it to finish.
- Run:
sfc /scannow
- Wait until verification reaches 100 percent.
- Restart Windows.
- Test the TT-DVB USB application again.
DISM and SFC repair protected Windows components. They do not guarantee restoration of a missing TechnoTrend DLL. If both commands complete successfully but the same error remains, return to the application repair or reinstall step.

For this file, reinstalling the matching TT-DVB USB software is still the definitive fix.

If the error began immediately after a driver installation, Windows upgrade, cleanup operation, or other software change, System Restore may return the system to an earlier state.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
rstrui.exe. - Press Enter.
- Select Next.
- Choose a restore point created before the error began.
- Select Scan for affected programs if available.
- Review the changes.
- Select Next, then Finish.
- Allow Windows to restart.
System Restore rolls back system settings, drivers, and installed software changes. It does not normally remove personal documents, but review the affected-program list before confirming.
If no suitable restore point exists, obtain the model-specific installer or remove the obsolete software rather than restoring an unverified DLL.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Fix 7: Remove an obsolete startup entry
If the error appears during startup but you no longer use the receiver, restoring the DLL may be unnecessary.
- Right-click the taskbar.
- Select Task Manager.
- Open Startup apps.
- Look for TechnoTrend, TT-DVB, a TV viewer, or an unknown entry pointing to the old installation folder.
- Select it.
- Choose Disable.
- Restart Windows.
If the program is no longer needed, uninstall it through Settings > Apps > Installed apps or Control Panel > Programs and Features. This is safer than reviving an abandoned startup component with a random replacement DLL.
What not to do
Do not download a random DLL
Unverified DLL download sites sites may provide malware, an altered file, the wrong architecture, or a version that does not match the application. Even a clean file may not fix the real problem if the driver or another dependency is missing.
Use the original installation media, a trusted backup, or a package supplied for the exact device by TechnoTrend or the hardware vendor.
Do not copy the file into System32 or SysWOW64
A DLL belongs in the location expected by its application. Global copying can cause version conflicts and make future repairs harder. Reinstalling the parent application normally places the file correctly.
Do not run regsvr32 as a routine fix
regsvr32 is intended for DLLs that support self-registration, usually through a DllRegisterServer entry point. An ordinary application or streaming DLL may not support that function.

A command such as:
regsvr32 ttusbacc.dll
does not restore a missing file, repair a missing dependency, or make an incompatible driver work. Use it only if TechnoTrend documentation specifically requires registration or inspection confirms that the DLL is self-registering. Otherwise, “the module failed to load” or “the entry point was not found” can add confusion.
Do not install a package for a different receiver
Confirm the exact model printed on the device or its original documentation. Similar DVB USB products can use different drivers and applications.
Frequently asked questions
Is ttusbacc.dll part of Windows?
No verified evidence shows that Microsoft ships it with Windows. Public metadata associates it with TT-DVB USB and TechnoTrend AG. It is not a Windows system DLL.
Which program installed ttusbacc.dll?
It was associated with the TT-DVB USB application and its related TechnoTrend DVB USB hardware. The filename alone cannot identify the exact TV viewer or utility on your computer.
Should I download ttusbacc.dll separately?
No. Restore it through the matching TT-DVB USB installer or original media. A standalone download can be malicious, mismatched, or useless if the driver and dependencies are also missing.
Does the file need to go in System32?
Normally, no. A 32-bit application generally expects its application DLL beside the executable or in an application-specific folder. Reinstall the complete program rather than copying the file globally.
Why does Windows say the specified module could not be found when the file exists?
The DLL may depend on another missing or incompatible module. The message can also indicate an architecture mismatch or damaged installation. Reinstall the complete TechnoTrend software and driver package.
Will DISM or SFC restore ttusbacc.dll?
Not normally. DISM and SFC repair protected Windows components, while ttusbacc.dll is associated with third-party TT-DVB USB software. Run them only when broader Windows corruption is suspected.
Does regsvr32 fix this error?
Usually not. Registration applies only to DLLs designed to self-register. ttusbacc.dll should not be registered routinely unless vendor instructions specifically require it.
Will the receiver work on Windows 10 or Windows 11?
Compatibility depends on the exact TechnoTrend device, driver, and application. The existence of the DLL does not confirm that the legacy hardware is supported on a current Windows release.
