Following an account on Truth Social is free. The platform uses the word “subscribe” for following an account so its posts appear in your Home Feed; that wording does not describe a paid follower tier. Truth Social’s account FAQ says no payment card is required to create or use an account. The paid products documented by Truth Social—Truth+ streaming and Boosted Truths post promotion—buy different benefits and do not buy access to a creator’s followers or guarantee engagement.
What “subscribe” means on Truth Social
Truth Social’s terminology can make an ordinary follow sound like a commercial subscription. Its glossary says that when you follow an account, you are “subscribing to see the content that account posts” in your Home Feed. It defines a follower as a user who has subscribed to see the content on an account.

In this context, subscribe describes a feed relationship: you choose an account, and Truths from that account can appear in your Home Feed. The reviewed official help pages do not describe this as a paid creator-membership plan, a recurring charge, or a tier that unlocks exclusive posts. A person who follows you is therefore a follower in the platform’s ordinary sense, not a paying customer by virtue of clicking Follow.
What following changes
- The followed account’s posts can be delivered to your Home Feed.
- Your account is counted as a follower of that account.
- The account owner does not receive a payment merely because you followed it.
- You do not receive a separate paid badge or subscriber-only entitlement from the follow itself.
Those points explain why a post, profile or help article may use “subscribers” even when no money changes hands. Read the surrounding context: on Truth Social, the glossary’s definition is about seeing posts, not purchasing them.

Ordinary Truth Social access is free
Truth Social’s account FAQ states: “Truth Social can be accessed for FREE. No payment or credit card number is required.” The same guidance says users must be at least 18 and provides the account-creation process. You can therefore open an account, sign in, follow other accounts and receive their posts without entering a card number.
What you need to create an account
- You must meet the platform’s minimum age requirement of 18.
- You complete the account-creation steps presented by Truth Social.
- A payment method is not a prerequisite for ordinary access.
Free access does not mean every feature on the service is free. It means the basic social network—account access and the ability to follow accounts—is not gated behind a paid membership. Separate products can have their own checkout, terms and eligibility rules.
Follower and following limits
Truth Social distinguishes between how many people may follow you and how many accounts you may follow. Its follower help page says there is no maximum number of followers your account can have. It separately limits following activity as follows:

These are operational limits for the free follow system, not prices or subscription levels. They also show why “paid followers” is the wrong interpretation of the glossary: the documented controls are account and activity limits, not billing tiers.
Does Truth Social offer paid followers?
The official pages reviewed for account access, terminology and followers do not describe a paid follower feature. They explain free account access, define following as subscribing to see posts, and specify follower and following limits. They do not state that a creator can charge followers for access, that a follower can pay for a special relationship, or that a recurring fee is attached to the Follow action.
That is a narrower and more accurate conclusion than saying Truth Social can never introduce such a product. Services can add or rename features. Based on the documented terminology and help pages, however, a current user should treat “subscribe” next to an account as the free act of following unless a clearly identified checkout and product description says otherwise.

How to check a claim that followers must pay
- Look for the exact product name and an in-platform or official checkout screen.
- Check whether the charge is for following an account, for streaming content, or for promoting a post. Those are different products.
- Read what the purchase promises: feed delivery, video access, impressions, verification or another benefit.
- Review the cancellation, renewal and refund language before entering payment details.
A request to send money directly to an account owner is not, by itself, evidence of an official Truth Social paid-follower system. Do not assume that a profile’s use of “subscriber” changes the platform’s glossary definition.

Truth+ is a separate streaming subscription
Truth+ is documented as a premium streaming service, not as a way to subscribe to an individual Truth Social account. Truth Social describes it as providing access to live content and previously aired shows. The benefit appears in the Truth+ streaming experience rather than in a creator’s follower list or in the Home Feed.
The Patriot Package and a complimentary red check
Truth Social’s verification guidance says that users who do not meet the ordinary considerations for a red-check verification can receive a complimentary red check upon subscribing to the Truth+ Patriot Package. This is a statement about a potential verification benefit attached to that streaming package; it does not establish paid access to another user’s posts.
The same verification guidance cautions that submitting information does not guarantee red-check verification. A Patriot Package subscription should therefore not be treated as an automatic verification promise, and it should not be confused with a paid follower badge.
Price and availability
The official help pages reviewed do not state a current Patriot Package price. Check the offer and price shown at the point of purchase, because streaming packages, regional availability and promotions can change. Do not infer a price for Truth+ from the $9.99 figure associated with Boosted Truths; that amount belongs to post promotion, not streaming.
Boosted Truths pays for distribution, not followers
Boosted Truths is Truth Social’s documented paid post-promotion feature. The help page gives a price of $9.99 for 1,000 impressions within 24 hours after moderation approval. An impression means the post was displayed; it does not necessarily mean that a person read it, interacted with it, followed the account or shared it.

The $9.99 amount and 1,000-impression figure are platform-stated terms, not an independent performance benchmark. They may change, so verify the offer shown in the website’s boost flow before paying.
What a boost can and cannot do
- Can do: pay for additional distribution of an eligible post after approval, measured as impressions.
- Cannot establish: that a specific person saw the post, interacted with it, followed the account or became a paying subscriber.
- Does not buy: a Truth+ subscription, a red-check decision, or a guaranteed number of followers.
If your goal is to reach more people with one post, a boost is the relevant paid tool described by the platform. If your goal is to follow an account, no Boosted Truths purchase is needed.

The key distinction is the object of the purchase. Free following concerns another account’s posts. Truth+ concerns streaming programming. Boosted Truths concerns distribution of your post. None of those descriptions turns an ordinary follower into a paying follower.

Truth Social’s Terms of Service describe general subscription rules that apply to paid services. Subscriptions are automatically charged monthly or yearly at the frequency selected at signup. Fees are generally non-refundable, including unused portions of a subscription that is canceled. The terms also reserve the right to change prices.
Promotional periods
When a promotion or trial is offered, the terms say it may convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the promotional period ends, unless the offer states a different rule. Record the end date and review the cancellation control rather than assuming a trial will end without a charge.
A safe checkout checklist
- Confirm that the checkout is for Truth+ or another clearly named paid service, not simply the Follow control.
- Read whether billing is monthly or yearly and note the renewal date.
- Check the displayed price, taxes or regional adjustments and any promotional conversion language.
- Save the confirmation message and the cancellation route.
- Cancel before renewal if you do not want another billing period; do not rely on a refund for unused time.
These terms explain why a current price cannot be assumed from an older article or screenshot. The service can change pricing, and the reviewed official pages do not provide a current Patriot Package amount.

Choosing the right action for your goal
“I only want to see an account’s posts.”
Create or use a free Truth Social account, then follow the account. The posts can appear in your Home Feed. You do not need Truth+, Boosted Truths or a payment card for that purpose. If you have reached the 10,000-account following limit, unfollow an account you no longer need; the 250-per-day rule can also affect how quickly you add new follows.

Look at the current Truth+ offer and its checkout terms. You are purchasing streaming access, not a creator’s posts. If a Patriot Package includes a verification-related benefit, read the qualification language carefully: the help guidance says a red check is not guaranteed.
“I want more people to see my post.”
Use the website’s Boosted Truths flow if it is available to you. Review the post, the displayed price and the impression target, then submit it for moderation approval. Treat the result as paid exposure measured in displays, not as a promise of followers, comments or sales.
“Someone says I must pay to follow them.”
Pause before paying. Compare the request with Truth Social’s glossary, which defines subscribing as following to see posts. Ask what named product is being sold, where its official terms are displayed and what benefit is guaranteed. Do not provide payment details to an account merely because it uses the word subscriber.
Common misconceptions and how to resolve them
Misconception: every “subscription” is a recurring charge
Not on Truth Social’s glossary page. In the follow context, subscribe is the platform’s word for receiving an account’s posts. A recurring charge belongs to a separately identified paid service.

Misconception: a $9.99 boost buys 1,000 followers
The documented unit is 1,000 impressions within 24 hours after approval. An impression is a display, not a follower or an interaction, and the help page does not guarantee engagement.
Misconception: a Patriot Package automatically produces a red check
The verification guidance says a complimentary red check may be available to users who do not meet ordinary considerations, but it also says submission does not guarantee red-check verification. Treat eligibility and approval as separate questions.
Misconception: canceling always produces a prorated refund
The Terms of Service describe paid fees as generally non-refundable, including unused portions of canceled subscriptions. Check the applicable terms before subscribing and cancel before the next renewal if you do not want another charge.
What is established—and what is not
The official documentation establishes free ordinary access, the glossary meaning of subscribing, follower and following limits, Truth+ as a separate streaming service, and Boosted Truths as paid post promotion. It does not provide a current Patriot Package price or document a paid follower tier. It also does not rule out future or account-specific features that could be introduced later.
For the practical question “what do paid followers get?”, the answer is therefore: ordinary followers do not pay and receive feed delivery; a Truth+ customer receives streaming access under the displayed package terms; and a Boosted Truths customer receives paid post distribution measured in impressions. Paying for either named product does not itself purchase a creator relationship or guarantee new followers.
