How many vehicles are in Transport Fever 3?
Paradox Interactive’s September 29, 2026 launch announcement says the game includes “more than 300 authentic vehicles” across seven categories. It does not give category-by-category totals or name every vehicle. Read the launch announcement.

The number depends on what is being counted and when. Urban Games’ October 29, 2025 vehicle trailer said “over 270 models,” while Paradox’s launch announcement gives the later figure of more than 300. A third-party index updated September 30, 2026 counts 306 base-game resource models in Steam build 25533170. That count is an index of game files, not an official total of unique, purchasable vehicles. See the index and its scope notes.

Paradox also announced “over 250” authentic vehicles on May 6, 2026. Because that was an earlier pre-launch statement, use the later launch figure when describing the current official count. The three figures describe different announcements and counting methods rather than a guaranteed one-to-one tally.

Which vehicle types are included?
The launch announcement groups the roster into these seven transport categories:
- Trains
- Buses
- Trams
- Trucks
- Ships
- Planes
- Helicopters
Urban Games’ 2025 trailer highlighted helicopters and cargo trams as additions to the series. It says helicopters can serve passenger and freight routes, while cargo trams provide an urban freight option. The official seven-category summary does not publish counts for these types or define further subcategories.

The third-party index uses a different record taxonomy: it includes wagons as a type alongside trains, trams, buses, trucks, ships, planes and helicopters. A wagon entry in that index should not be treated as an additional official headline category or automatically as a standalone buy-menu vehicle. The trailer also mentions redesigned citizens’ cars, but the launch roster does not count ordinary cars as a separate transport category.
Can you see a complete named vehicle roster?
There is no complete named roster in the official announcements cited here. The third-party index is the closest supplied reference: it lists base-game resource declarations for Steam build 25533170, with type, displayed name, year fields and declared cargo classes where available. Its rows can represent model variants, and availability can depend on game rules or unlocks. It also does not claim full coverage of DLC or mods.

The index’s examples include the ALCO 4-8-8-4 Big Boy, Avelia Liberty, Uerdingen Railbus, Citroën U55 Cityrama and Damen Fast Ferry. These examples illustrate the kind of names it contains; they are not a complete roster. Treat its year and cargo information as index data for that build, not as an official guarantee that every listed record can be purchased in every playthrough.
Vehicles named for the Deluxe Edition and preorder bonus
Urban Games’ August 25, 2026 announcement names six vehicles for the Deluxe Edition. It separately lists the TS Queen Mary as a preorder bonus, so these should not be folded into a presumed base-game list without their edition context. See Urban Games’ edition announcement.

What the official count does—and does not—tell you
The “more than 300” figure is a broad official total across the seven vehicle categories, not a published spreadsheet of every name, model variant, year or unlock condition. The 306 figure is more specific about its source and build, but counts resource models rather than confirmed distinct vehicles for sale. Neither figure, by itself, answers which vehicles will appear in a particular save or which additional vehicles are included with later DLC or mods.

The official Collector’s Edition announcement describes a digital game key and physical items, including a 200-page vehicle artbook and a card game.
