Torchlight: Infinite’s SS14 season, Tartarus, is scheduled to launch globally on October 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM PDT. Its new Netherrealm mode makes players the Warden: recapture escaped prisoners, manage the prison, and prepare for a riot. The season also adds Youga’s Spacetime Witness Hero Trait and a progression system for Followers.
When does SS14 Tartarus launch?
The official SS14 Season Update Log schedules the global launch for October 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM PDT. That is a scheduled time announced before launch, not confirmation that the season has since gone live.

What is the Netherrealm prison mode?
In Tartarus, players take the role of the prison’s Warden. The official season description centers on pursuing fugitives, returning them to Tartarus, and building up the prison in preparation for an inevitable riot. The update frames the role as one of authority over the inmates: “In a prison full of the most heinous criminals, you hold supreme power.”
A preview by Pocket Gamer, published October 12, 2026, describes the mode as a three-part loop. Its turn counts, prison layout and challenge details are preview reporting, rather than independently confirmed patch specifications.

1. Hunt fugitives
Track down escaped prisoners and collect their nameplates. This brings inmates back into the prison-management part of the mode.
2. Manage the prison
Pocket Gamer reports a circular prison with 16 cells. Players house inmates and arrange fights between prisoners or against beasts, developing a roster ahead of the coming challenge.

Youga’s Spacetime Witness Hero Trait
The official update lists Spacetime Witness as a new Hero Trait for Youga. Pocket Gamer characterizes it as spell-focused, offering another direction for building the character.

Follower progression
SS14 adds Followers from four species: Lion Queen, Lone Wolf, Mammoth and Witch Rat. The official update says higher-quality Followers can have more skill slots and better Active Skills. Pocket Gamer describes their skills as including active and support effects such as buffs, protection and debuffs.
