6. Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS — best as a SteamOS alternative

Where PlayStation Portal fits
PlayStation Portal is a useful option for a different need, but it is not a standalone handheld console in the same sense as the systems above. It is built around remote play from a PS5, so consider it if you already have a PS5 and want to play its games away from the television. Sony says Remote Play itself does not require PlayStation Plus, although a game’s online multiplayer may.
