Reports say the Denuvo Anti-Tamper disclosure disappeared from Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis’ Steam page on September 30, 2026. That does not confirm Denuvo was removed from the game itself: no official explanation was reported, and the change could have been deliberate or a store-page mistake.
What changed on Steam
Prima Games reported on October 5 that SteamDB’s update history showed the Denuvo disclosure had disappeared on September 30. The report said the listing had displayed Denuvo since June. DSOGaming also reported that the label was missing, while cautioning that the change might be intentional or an error. Prima Games · DSOGaming

The distinction matters: a change to a store-page disclosure is not proof of a change to the game’s executable. The reports do not establish whether Denuvo will be included in the final PC release.

Why was Denuvo removed?
There is no verified answer. The October 5 reporting said the publisher and developers had not publicly explained the change. Neither performance concerns, licensing costs, piracy, community pressure nor preorder strategy has been established as the reason.

Players have raised concerns about Denuvo’s potential performance impact, but the cited coverage provides no benchmark for this game. That context does not explain why the listing changed.
Is Denuvo still on the Steam page?
A Steam page capture opened before the October reports still displays “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper.” Because that capture predates the reported change, it does not establish what the live listing says now. Check the current Steam listing for its latest disclosure; even a live-page change would not by itself confirm what DRM ships in the PC build.

What to expect before launch
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a reimagining of the 1996 game, developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog and published by Amazon Game Studios. Steam lists its release date as February 12, 2027. Amazon Game Studios announced that date on PlayStation.Blog, with February 13 releases listed for Japan, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
With the release still ahead, the store disclosure or DRM plan could change. Until the publisher or developers clarify the matter—or the shipped PC version can be examined—the accurate conclusion is that Denuvo’s Steam disclosure was reported missing, not that the game is confirmed Denuvo-free.
