Tokyu Construction reported ¥13.3 billion in profit attributable to owners of the parent for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, up from ¥6.631 billion a year earlier. Separately, the company’s investor-relations page showed a share price of ¥1,221.0 at 15:30 JST on September 24, 2026—below the ¥1,693 high listed for the fiscal year ended March 2026. The quote is dated; it is not an October 5 price, and the fiscal-year high is not established as an all-time record.
What “doubles profit” means for Tokyu Construction
The comparison is between the same measure: profit attributable to owners of the parent. Tokyu Construction’s shareholder message reports ¥13.3 billion for FY2026, against ¥6.631 billion for FY2025, an increase of about 101% using those rounded figures. “Doubles” is therefore a fair shorthand, not an exact twofold result.

FY2026 means the financial year from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. The company’s shareholder message also reports FY2026 consolidated net sales of ¥341.1 billion and operating income of ¥16.3 billion. Those are different measures from profit attributable to owners of the parent and should not be treated as interchangeable.
How the forecast changed—and what the company said drove results
On April 24, 2026, Tokyu Construction revised its FY2026 forecast for profit attributable to owners of the parent upward from ¥10.3 billion to ¥13.4 billion. The disclosure compared that revised estimate with FY2025 actual profit of ¥6.631 billion. The ¥13.4 billion figure was a forecast; the later reported FY2026 actual was ¥13.3 billion.

In the April revision, the company said the expected improvement in operating and ordinary profit reflected greater gross profit on completed construction contracts, mainly from additional and design-change work in domestic civil engineering projects. It also cited gains from selling investment securities as a factor in the expected increase in profit.
In its later shareholder message, the company described robust domestic construction demand and said on-site ingenuity using digital technology, along with reflecting cost fluctuations in contract prices, contributed to results that significantly exceeded its initial forecasts. These are the company’s explanations; the disclosures do not independently verify how much each factor contributed.

Why earnings growth and a share-price high are different measures
The profit comparison describes the company’s reported financial performance across two fiscal years. A share-price comparison describes what the stock was quoted at different points in time. The figures can be considered together, but the earnings increase alone does not establish why the share price was below its earlier high or predict its next move.
For the reported results, forecast revisions, and newer financial materials, use Tokyu Construction’s investor-relations library. The April forecast should be read as a contemporaneous estimate, distinct from the FY2026 actual subsequently reported in the shareholder message.
